Chapter Six : Sayonara

Morning came as the sun rose over the Earth, awaking people to the new day. WuFei stirred at Duo's side, his eyes studying the still sleeping boy. WuFei sighed as he placed a kiss to Duo's forehead. You will be saved, and this planet, it will survive. WuFei left the room to take a bath before he took Duo away. Duo stirred awake and ice blue eyes greeted him.

"Zechs?" Duo asked as amethyst eyes studied Zechs whom was dressed in mage's clothes.

"Duo, you know about the evil presence in you don't you?" Zechs asked as Duo sat up in the bed. Duo shivered and nodded.

"Yes...he keeps lying to me…I love WuFei…he...he can't convince me otherwise." Duo said as he clenched his fingers. Zechs nodded.

"Then, you shall be put to the test. Don't tell WuFei that I was here okay?" Zechs said.

"Hai." Duo replied. Zechs nodded and ran out of the door. Duo rose to his feet and looked at the window. He sighed softly. I have to tell WuFei, make him understand that...that it's not that horrible monster talking to him…warping my feelings. Dream or no dreams, I've loved WuFei ever since I laid eyes on him. Duo sighed once again as he left the room in search of WuFei. He entered the bathroom where WuFei was bathing in. He watched silently as WuFei scrubbed his body gently, velvet eyes lost in thought. Duo sighed as he watched the suds of soap dribble down WuFei's caramel chest.

"Duo?" WuFei asked as he continued to scrub his body. Duo coughed as he stepped out of the shadows.

"How, how did you know I was here?" Duo asked as his amethyst eyes glided over WuFei's form.

"Since you woke up. Zechs was talking to you wasn't he?" WuFei asked as he turned to face Duo, revealing tired eyes. Duo nodded.

"Hai. But, do you mind if I join you? I have a lot of things to ask you." Duo said. WuFei nodded and Duo shed his clothes quickly and joined WuFei in the large bath. Duo hovered next to WuFei.

"Duo, you know about Shingami, right?" WuFei asked as he faced Duo.

"I do. But, what he said, about us...it's not true. I truly love you WuFei. These few days on Earth has proved it. You can't say that you don't feel *anything* for me?" Duo asked as he held WuFei by his shoulders. WuFei turned his eyes away from Duo, black wet hair framing his face.

"Duo, Shingami, is evil. He sprouts lies." WuFei said. Duo felt his anger growing. How could…why couldn't WuFei *see * that he loved him?!

"Damn it Fei! Tell me. Can't you feel this?!" Duo shouted as he wrapped his arms tight around WuFei's waist and ruthlessly plundered his mouth. WuFei fought against Duo, his body beginning to respond the beautiful friction that Duo applied to his lips.

"Duo…" WuFei moaned as the braided prince slowed his assault, taking WuFei's lips again and used his tongue to explore WuFei's sweet mouth thoroughly. Duo backed WuFei up against the wall of the large bath and finally withdrew his lips from WuFei. Clouded amethyst eyes greeted obsidian and WuFei blushed.

"See? You can't deny it WuFei, please, let me be with you." Duo pleaded as his hands cupped WuFei's chin in his hand. WuFei's eyes seemed to waver for a moment.

"Duo…I'm... I" WuFei muttered, those amethyst eyes boring holes into his mind.

"Fei, please." Duo whispered as his lips made contact with WuFei's. WuFei wrapped his arms around Duo's waist and moaned in satisfaction as Duo's hands reached for him and traced patterns down his inner thighs. Just this once Duo… WuFei moaned as Duo hauled them both out of the water and unto the marble floor of the bathroom. Duo moaned as his lips slid down WuFei's body, taking nips from tortured nipples. WuFei moaned as Duo spread his legs and his head disappeared between WuFei's legs. WuFei let out a growl as Duo's talented mouth took his throbbing shaft into his mouth.

"Duo…" WuFei moaned as pure pleasure raced through his veins. Never had he felt such a thing.

"Yes Fei?" Duo asked, his actions sending even more ripples down WuFei's back.

"Want you...so bad…" WuFei whimpered as he felt his body catch on fire.

"Good," Duo whispered as he released WuFei's shaft and settled between his legs. Concern flashed in both pairs of eyes and Duo kissed WuFei. "I'll be gentle." Duo whispered as he pushed back sweat soaked strands of hair from WuFei's face. WuFei nodded, not knowing what Duo was referring to. He knew it in a moment as Duo's hips snapped forward and WuFei found himself screaming as Duo filled him painfully, the Ryujinbito's eyes trickling with tears. Duo smothered WuFei with kisses, stroking WuFei's face.

"Duo…I'll be okay." WuFei whispered as he adjusted to the gentle throbbing within him.

"Ai shiteru." Duo whispered softly. WuFei wrapped his legs around Duo, his hands placing themselves on Duo's shoulders.

"Wo ai ni, I believe it." WuFei said as he smiled softly. Duo nodded and began to move in WuFei, brushing against his koibito's sweet spot with every plunge. WuFei's breathing became shorter as Duo's hand mimicked the movement over his sex. WuFei purred as Duo picked up the pace, the braided prince overwhelmed by the impossible tightness and heat that surrounded him.

"Oh Gods, Fei!" Duo shouted as he came hard, sending his essence into the quaking body below him. WuFei let out a growl as he came in Duo's hand, the Dragon child's expression one of pure bliss. Duo collapsed against WuFei, wrapping his arms around his lover as they sought to regain some sense of balance.

"I love you, I always will." Duo whispered into WuFei's ear. WuFei kissed Duo's nose and snuggled up to him.

"As do I. Can we, finish our bath now?" WuFei asked. Duo laughed and dropped WuFei into the bath and went in after him.

Zechs sighed as he and Relena sat in their small conference room.

"Relena, I believe that, by tonight, everything should be peaceful on Earth. That is what WuFei said." Zechs said as his sister looked at the window to where the sun's rays played over the water.

"Milirado, I know how you feel about WuFei. It's so easy for me to read it in your eyes. But, do not worry, everything works out in the end." Relena said as she clasped her hands together, a far away look in her eyes. Zechs nodded and left the Queen's presence.

WuFei sighed as he and Duo strolled in the forests of the Sank Kingdom, just as the sun began setting. Not far behind them, Zechs followed, keeping his mind free of all thoughts. Duo smiled as he held WuFei's hand in his, ticklish laughter erupting from his lips as he laughed at one of his own jokes. WuFei smiled slightly, his own thought beginning to drift as the air became cooler. Duo stopped talking and shivered.

"Is anything wrong Duo?" WuFei asked as he faced his itooshi. Duo nodded, his lips a bit blue.

"He's…he's coming back WuFei." Duo whispered. WuFei nodded.

"Duo, be strong for us." WuFei replied. Duo nodded and with a small smile, he placed a fleeting kiss to WuFei's lips. As they drew apart, Duo let out a howl as his eyes turned black once gain, but this time, bat like wings shot from his shoulders and his hands grew claw like. Slanted black orbs rimmed with red met WuFei's gaze. Zechs heard the howl and headed after WuFei.

"Dragon Child. This is to be the final day." Shingami spoke, his low voice rumbling like thunder.

"Yes, it shall end now. " WuFei said as he let his wings burst from his back. Zechs came leaping at Shingami, his shadow against the moon.

"Demon!" Zechs cried as he landed beside WuFei and pointed his stick at Shingami. Shingami's eyes narrowed to slits.

"I should kill you first." Shingami said with a sneer as his hands shot out and wrapped themselves around Zechs neck. Ice blue eyes stared into black darkness and Shingami began to squeeze, sounds of breaking bone renting the air. WuFei gently flapped off the ground and approached Shingami, his velvet eyes completely calm. He pressed his fingers to the demon's temples and Shingami howled in pain as the pain shot through his mind and down his back. With a hiss, he tossed Zechs away from him, the ice blue eyed prince seeing double as blood trickled down his neck.

"Damn you!" Shingami bellowed as he pressed his fingers to his head and sent soothing waves into his body.

"You shall harm no one but me. And you have to leave Duo once you get what you want." WuFei said as he hovered a few inches off the ground, at eye level with the demon. The demon's eyes swirled.

"Yes." Shingami replied. Closing his eyes, he separated from Duo. Shingami stood, still looking like Duo except that his eyes were pure black rimmed with red, his claws were a lot longer and his wings a lot bigger. As Zechs sat up, he detected a tail swishing behind Shingami. He saw Duo on the grass, breathing slowly.

"Then. Come to me. You are a part of me that I must accept." WuFei said as he held out his arms. Shingami took them and a green light surrounded them both. Zechs stood up, fear in his eyes as he picked up his stick and charged at Shingami. The stick hit dead center right through Shinagmi and the demon didn't flinch. Zechs felt a tremendous amount of energy leave him and a shot sent him slamming into a tree.

"I can feel Chubu's power in me. Stupid mortal. You couldn't use her gift properly." Shingami said as his body absorbed the stick. WuFei faltered a bit as the green light intensified, drawing his power from him. Zechs muttered a curse as he opened his eyes, pain screaming in his mind. Amethyst eyes met Zechs.

"Duo?"" Zechs mumbled incoherently. Duo looked shaken.

"Zechs, you've got to help me. Please!" Duo pleaded as he helped Zechs stand.

"Duo, as much as I would like to, I can't. I haven't any more power." Zechs said.

"Just help me damn it! That, that monster has come to life because of me. WuFei will die because of me. I won't let that happen!" Duo shouted, tears trickling down his cheeks. Zechs nodded and together, the two drew their swords and headed for Shingami.

WuFei felt his eyes run circles. He could feel his power draining, draining life away from him. WuFei gritted his teeth. It won't be long now Shingami. Once you have my power, your fate is sealed. WuFei heard Duo and Zechs run at Shingami, striking the demon with their swords. The demon grew two extra arms and grabbed the two warriors by their necks. In a flash, all four were transported to a dimension that swirled in between time and space.

"Let go!" Duo screamed as he kicked against the demon's hand.

"Brat!" Shingami growled as he threw Duo and Zechs to the ground. He wrapped his hands around WuFei's neck and slowly, WuFei began to disappear, pain etched on his slender face.

"WuFei!" Duo and Zechs screamed as they got up, their bodies aching with undeniable pain. They held Shingami in hand locks and removed his hands from WuFei's neck, the Ryujinbito falling to the ground, shivers running up his spine.

"I'm getting rid of you with my new power." Shingami said as he picked up Duo. Duo gritted his teeth as Shingami proceeded to break his neck. Duo looked down. His feet weren't even touching the ground anymore.

"WuFei…" Duo whispered as he sought a glance at his lover who was stirring.

"He doesn’t love you. How blind are you?" Shingami asked as he pressed harder on Duo's neck. Duo laughed as tears rolled down his cheek.

"I love WuFei. You had nothing to do with us falling in love. You hear me?!" Duo said, his vision beginning to blur painfully. Shingami growled and screamed as WuFei was upon him, his hands wrapped around the demon's waist.

"Now, you die." WuFei whispered.

"Then I take him with me!" Shingami screamed as a hot pain filled his being.

"What's, what's happening?" Zechs asked as WuFei got shocked by the green light and was slammed into the ground. Duo stared at Shingami.

"I'm destroying you. WuFei's power, and, my love for him. WuFei, I can't have you die, I need you to live on. I've always loved you, so, please, forgive me." Duo whispered as he faced WuFei. WuFei's lips parted in a painful scream, as Shingami burned up in a startling flame. Zechs got up, fear in his eyes and he tried to remove Duo from Shingami's grasp. Duo began to burn and Zechs was shoved back as the two, the boy and the demon were killed in the star fire.

All was calm and when Zechs opened his eyes, he and WuFei were back on Earth. Zechs stood up numbly and walked to where Duo had last stood. A gold cross lay on the grass. Zechs picked it up and hot tears splashed against his smoldering fingers. Duo, you…you really loved WuFei...I'm…sorry that I doubted your feelings...but you sacrificed your life to save him and the Earth. You should have let me take your place. WuFei loves you and I love him enough to step aside and together, the two of you could have lived in happiness. What you did, it has hurt WuFei, but your sacrifice will not be forgotten. Zechs walked over to where WuFei lay, breathing in between sobs. Blood mingling with his dark locks and his wings had disappeared.

"WuFei." Zechs said as he knelt by WuFei. He placed the cross in WuFei's hands and nodded. WuFei looked up at Zechs, tears in his eyes.

"He shouldn’t have Zechs. I could have saved him." WuFei whispered.

"You both were willing to sacrifice your lives. A bit selfish but Duo wants you to be happy. Is, is everything really over?" Zechs asked. WuFei nodded.

"Yes. I dispelled my power into Shingami, canceling out his power of darkness. He burned to ashes in the star fire because the force became neutral. I would have had to die but Duo stepped in and now, he's gone." WuFei whispered. Zechs was lost on what to do so he did the only sensible thing: he hugged WuFei and let the Ryujinbito cry his heart out.

Zechs - You really get a kick out of angst don't you?
