Epilogue : Finality

Zechs paced anxiously around the small waiting room at Dr. Iria's hospital. True to his word, WuFei had carried his child for five months and had gone into labor a good day ago. I didn't know that labor was *this* long. I hope that Fei and the baby will be fine. I'll be at his side whenever he needs me. Zechs stopped his furious pacing as he heard the distinct cry of a baby break through his thoughts. After ten tense minutes, Iria came out to see Zechs.

"A successful cesarean. You can go and see WuFei now." Iria said as she wiped her brow, a small smile curling her lips. Zechs murmured a quick 'thank you' and went into the ward.

WuFei lifted up his head as he head his door open, the familiar platinum haired blond with pale blue eyes that he had grown to love over the past few months, strode in, happiness etched into his ivory face.

"Fei-chan, you're all right. Thank God." Zechs murmured as he clasped WuFei's hand and kissed the slender fingers, ensuring a blush from WuFei.

"I am. Thank you. So is Oriens." WuFei said with a content smile on his face.

"Oriens? A boy?" Zechs asked as he took the baby from WuFei, the baby cooing softly. Slanted violet orbs stared back at Zechs and strands of ebony hair streaked with brown covered the small scalp. The baby smiled, grabbing Zechs's finger with a playful glint in his eyes.

"He's very beautiful. He reminds me of Duo." WuFei said, his eyes dropping back to the bed.

"Oriens, latin for dawn. He's perfect Fei-chan. We'll take good care of him." Zechs said as he handed the baby back, the dragonling wrapping small arms around WuFei's neck and went to sleep. Zechs smiled and pulled up a chair and sat beside the bed upon which WuFei lay.

"Everything will be fine." WuFei said as he offered Zechs a small smile, his velvet eyes locking with blue eyes.

"It will. I love you." Zechs whispered, rising from his seat to kiss WuFei's lips gently, tongues slowly exploring. Zechs smiled as he pulled away from WuFei, the tender moment still lingering. Zechs sat back in his chair and rested his head in WuFei's lap, his blond hair spilling everywhere. WuFei stroked the blond head softly and he smiled. He placed a small kiss on Oriens head. This is all I need, this small and wonderful family…and you'll always be in my heart Duo, both you and Zechs.
