Takeo - Hey folks. This is my first CCS series fic and its AU!
Touya - Okay folks, Takeo doesn't own CCS or any of its characters. And characters that appear in this fic that are not under CCS belong to Takeo. This fic takes place during the Renaissance except that it's in Japan..Yes...Takeo has screwed up history once again.
Yukito - Warnings, none really. The title of this fic is Zutto Higure, roughly translated means Forever Sunset.

Zutto Higure :Prologue

The Renaissance period…with an Asian twist…yeah baby ^^

A young man of 19 strummed at his violin strings as he practiced late into the night. He had been selected to perform as a part of the Emperor's entourage to a large festival in Venice , Italy. The boy's blue eyes lowered as he put away his violin carefully, stroking the fine polished wood. A knock at his screen door alerted him to another's presence.

"Brother? It is late. You should get some sleep." Sakura said as the screen door slid open, revealing the boy standing, wiping his eyes in exhaustion.

"Oi, kaijuu, you're still up?" he asked as he stepped out unto the wooden hallway. His sister merely stuck her tongue out at him.

"I came to check on you. Our trip isn't until next week!" his sister replied as she folded her arms, her green eyes carrying a gentle expression. The boy yawned and smiled.

"All right Sakura. I'll be going to bed soon." The boy replied, his voice growing serious.

"Good Touya. The Gods must have taken some mercy on us, letting you have a chance to play at the Emperor's Palace, and then on to Italy. I wish Father could have seen you accomplish your dream." Sakura said as her voice dropped. Touya bowed his head. He placed a hand on his sister's shoulder.

"Remember Sakura, you're coming with me. And Father would also be proud of the way you've grown without him. Don't worry, with the money that I make from this, we'll be able to get you into that dance school like you've always dreamed. And maybe while we're in Tokyo, we might bump into that artist, what's her name? Ah, Tomoyo Daidouji, the magic painter." Touya said with a small smile. Sakura blushed.

"Really brother." Sakura said as she hugged her brother and went to her room, waving good night to her brother. Touya made a quick patrol of their home before finally heading back to his room. He spread his futon on the cool floor and crawled into it, exhausted and sleepy. After staring at the full moon for a moment, Touya fell into a dreamless sleep.

Tokyo…

Yukito watched as his cousin, the Emperor's son Syaoran threw a hissy fit as he complained about some of the lazy servants serving his father.

"I'm telling you Yuki-kun, this is ridiculous. How do they expect me to take my bath at this time of the night?! Haven't I done enough shouting for everyone's sake today?" Syaoran asked as he paced back an forth before Yukito who sat calmly in a chair.

"Sya-kun, relax. You know very well that your father's trip is taking a lot out of the people. Besides, I can run a bath for you, if you need it that desperately. You always take one in the morning anyway." Yukito said as he rose gracefully from his seat, pale moonlight glinting off his silver frames and hair. Syaoran spun quickly and strode over to Yukito. A warm smile graced the Prince's lips.

"It's all right Yukito, no need for you to worry." Syaoran said. Yukito smiled and Syaoran wondered for the thousandth time why he was blessed with such a kind cousin. Yukito blushed as Syaoran's hands held unto his.

"You can let go now Syaoran." Yukito whispered. Syaoran blushed and released the younger man's hands.

"Umm…how are your rehearsals going? The harp is obeying you and all?" Syaoran asked sheepishly. Yukito laughed.

"Well, I play with what I feel and my hands just glide over the strings." Yukito said as he closed his eyes, and imagined his harp. His fingers moved gracefully through the air, absolutely mesmerizing Syaoran. The Prince watched in silent pleasure. He couldn't remember when he started to have feelings for his cousin, whom was actually a distant relative.

"I wish you could teach me how to do that." Syaoran said as Yukito stopped and hazel eyes opened.

"Well, it can be learned. I must take my leave cousin. Imagine, I didn't know I was royalty until only a few weeks ago." Yukito said with a shake of his silvery head.

"Father recognized the harp that you played. You are a descendant of a distant cousin. No matter, I'll walk you to your room." Syaoran said as he buttoned up his waistcoat and lead Yukito to his room. The two walked in silence as they traversed the red walled hallways. They finally reached Yukito's room and after a handshake, Yukito slipped into his room. Syaoran stood at the shut screen door for a moment and contemplated the strange feeling he got every since he laid eyes on Yukito. He dismissed the heavy thumping of his heart and quickly returned to his room.

Yukito sighed as he gazed at his harp that shone dimly in the dark room. He threw off his waistcoat and trousers with little effort and soon stood naked in the middle of his room. The moon lit his ivory skin, making it a creamy colour in the dark, hazel eyes, almost golden regarded the bed on which he was to sleep on and Yukito climbed in, the silk sheets sending small jolts of pleasure into his senses. Yukito winced as his slender fingers traced his smooth back and he came upon an old scar in his back. Forcing back tears, Yukito buried his face in his pillow. He didn't know how long he could live this terrible lie. Just because of a harp, he was now related to the Emperor! Yukito sighed as he turned again in his bed, his spirit unsettled. He *knew* that the nightmares would torment him once again, those groping hands, painful sobs and screams…Yukito pushed out those thoughts as he tried to sleep, to comfort himself with the upcoming festival. At least my talent is true…if only the Emperor had let me explain…
