I made a list once of all the best bassists around, if you want to hear it, ask me, but my influence for bass, and the entire reason i started playing bass, is because of Mike Dirnt. Mike Dirnt is the man. When you see my first child named "Mike", dont be surprised. Listen real hard to any Green Day song, how can you not love what that guy is doin on bass?? He's got his equipment at the perfect tone, its punchy yet at the same time powerful, and he's creative as a mo'fo....is he the best bass player that ever lived and played? No, of course not, but he's my biggest influence.
