My Shotty Poetry

Emily Fuickin Dickinson

I hate it when you touch me.
I hate it when you breathe.
You're not welcome here anymore--
Not after you broke me.

I want to hold you so badly.
I know I couldn't bear
To have you as my own again
Once more see things--so clear.

You're anywhere and everywhere.
I just can't escape you.
You suffocate my very soul--
I know I'd die without you.

I try to leave you, but I won't,
And I know you'll never see.
Nothing to you--or without you.
I hate it when you touch me.

Drive

Are you ever going to break long enough
To look around and see
How miserable the sky is, crumbling beneath your feet

Or will you just keep on accelerating
Leave the world behind
Strand the gloomy sky in this dark mind

Pick it up, slow at first. Feel the rubber burn
Faster, now. You can't lose
Collapse the falling world around you

Leave your sky to drown in this void
Just shift it into the next gear
Don't stop. Don't worry. Soon you'll be out of here
