| The seeds of evil were planted when HaZe sent Richard Cormier a copy of his book, the Book of the New Lights. A week later, on Riptide, the unthinkable happened when Cormier turned heel and helped HaZe defeat Mandrake to move on in the Heavyweight Championship Tournament. Pyro-Maniac joined in to help the cause as the Brotherhood began wreaking havoc on the Association. At Undertow, Machine, Viktor Krauser, and James Nightbane made their AWA debuts and join the Brotherhood's cause, making them the most dominant force in the AWA. At Dead & Bloated, Machine left the Brotherhood and Pyro-Maniac was removed. They were replaced with Plaz, Loki, and Moloch, along with the edition of Richard Cormier's daughter, Regina Cormier. |
| The Brotherhood of the New Lights is a group of Enlightened men and hired guns that attempt to spread the word of Enlightenment to those that will listen. Those that refuse to listen are Enlightened forcefully with a beating. The Brotherhood is led by the Enlightened One, HaZe, author of the Book of the New Lights. Backing HaZe is owner of the AWA, Richard Cormier, who uses his deep pockets to hire goons to aid the Brotherhood. The Brotherhood's quest is simple, Enlighten the AWA, and cause as much chaos and destruction on the way. |
