Apparently there are heaps of mistakes on the OC that the directors didn't take into account! Well I personally did not notice most of these but here's what other VERY observant people have to say. Geez guys how many times did you watch the episodes to pick this up?

1.01 Premiere

When Sandy and Ryan drive from Chino to Orange County, Ryan's bike is popping out of the trunk but it's not there when the car is pulling up in the Cohen driveway

When Ryan an Marissa first meet outside the Cohens she ask's to "bum a ciggarette". When Ryan offers her his ciggarette to light hers from you can see that it's burnt all the way down in one frame and magically reappears in the next.

When Holly and Summer ditch Marissa on the driveway after the party, Ryan sees her from an "above" view. From that angle, the grass strip in the driveway is in the mid-point of Marissa's back. When Ryan goes down to check on her, her head is laying in the grass strip but she was unconscious so how did she move?!

When Ryan carries Marissa to the poolhouse, she has flip-flips on. In that scene, the camera was showing the back of them. Then they turned the camera, showing the pool house. Then they turned back to Ryan and Marissa, and somehow, she had shoes instead of flip-flops! It could have been vice versa but still!

When Sandy and Ryan drive away you can see Marissa from Ryan's point of view, but the trunk is open because of his bike, so he shouldn't of been able to have that view as the trunk would of blocked most of his view.

Near the end when Seth is sitting on that green/white striped couch and kicking the air, the back of the couch is up in one shot and down in the next a few seconds later. It does this a few times throught the scene.

1.02 The Model Home

When Jimmy and Julie are watching the game, he says 1986, but the captions say 1988. It was the worst re-dubbing ever..it doesnt' even sound like him when he says 1986. The Lakers/Pistons game was 1988, not 1986 - that was the Lakers/Celtics. So, the closed captioning would be correct, but the dub is incorrect. Maybe they took creative license with the date, I don't know, but, if it was just a goof on Jimmy's part and he got the date wrong when talking to Julie, then that would make Marissa 15 throughout the first season of the show

1.03 The Gamble

When Dawn was leaving the pool house and Kirsten walked in, she was wearing her sunglasses, but before she turned around to see Kirsten, she wasn't. [ this was probably the only one that i actually noticed! hehehe... ]

When Ryan was in Juvy, and the guy stabbed him with the fork he didn't bleed right away. It wasn't until they showed him on the floor that you saw any blood

1.04 The Debut

When Ryan and Anna practice dancing, one shot shows Anne's hand on Ryan's arm, in another shot angle her hand is on his shoulder. This mistake continues back and forth several times during their conversation
Holly said she does that cookout party every year for Cotillion but don't you only make your debut once? that's why it's called a debut

When Kirsten took Seth and Ryan shopping for the Cotillion, it was clear they were using the Range Rover. In the next scene, we see Sandy arriving home from surfing in the same vehicle. Do they both have the same car?

1.05 The Outsider

Seth's comment that part 2 of 5 of The Legion comic book came out the previous Wednesday would place this story around late May. In fact though, it is late summer.

1.06 The Girlfriend

When Caleb comes into the kitchen he raises his arms, and then the shot changes, his arms are still raised, but they're much lower than than before.

1.07 The Escape

When Marrissa was leaving the bar after majorly overdosing, she left her purse there. When she was lying outside in the alley, she had it with her.

When Marissa sees Luke making out with Holly, Ryan is smiling and laughing!

Several times during and after the scene where Marissa catches Luke, you can see the shadow of the camera on several of the characters.

1.08 The Rescue

Marissa uses a cell phone in her room, which is barred in most hospitals for making the machines malfunction.

Before meeting with Dr.Kim, Ryan mentions having to go through "essays, interviews, tests". But they don't know about the test until they meet with her.

1.09 The Heights

None

1.10 The Perfect Couple

When Julie apologizes to Ryan, they are talking about the charity event being later that day, but in the next scene, Seth tells Summer says that the charity event was tommorrow

Ryan and Marissa keep saying that they've never had a date, but they did have a date. In "The Outsider" they had a date by the Cohen's pool where Ryan made grilled cheese sandwiches

1.11 The Homecoming

Theresa says she lived next to Ryan all her life, but in "The Gamble" in the conversation with his mother, Ryan says that they moved to Chino from Fresno only after his father was arrested.

1.12 The Secret

How did Luke get into the car dealership? It must of been locked if no one was there, and even if he had a key and knew the security code, wouldn't his dad notice that the door is open and the alarm is off? Also the first car they sit in is unlocked with the keys in the ignition (as he imediately opens the door and turns on the radio), but why would the second car have it's alarm on? [ hehehe!yeah I noticed this too! yay! ]

When they first walk into the dealership you see the Lexus symbol on the door, plus after the boys see Lukes dad and run out, on the wall behind his dads head you see Lexus writen. Now here's the question: Why are there Ford Mustangs in the Lexus dealership?

When Ryan and Marissa enter the kitchen running late, Seth says "some of us are on Central time", but from Pacific time, if they were on Central time, they would be 2 hours _early_ not late. [ i have no idea. I don't live in America! ]

In the opening scene, Seth makes reference to it being November. But if it is the first day of school after Thanksgiving, 2003, it should be Monday, December 1st.

When Luke and Ryan come back after their fight, Luke is in pretty bad shape yet Ryan doesn't have a scratch on him.

1.13 The Best Chrismukkah Ever

When was the Chrismukkah picture taken? They're wearing the same clothes from the beginning of the episode, but Ryan's stocking is already hung up, which happened at the end.

When Marissa went to her locker, she opened it right away, but it had a pad lock. How could she gain access to the locker without unlocking it first? [ No one cares! It's TV! ]

When we see Marissa walk into the psychiatrist's office, she sits down and puts her jacket to her right over the couch arm. When the shot changes and she gets up to leave, she picks up her jacket from her left.

1.14 The Countdown

Both Ryan and Anna have the same distance to cover, going in opposite directions. The former from the Cohen's to the hotel party and the latter from the hotel party to the Cohen's. Ryan leaves before Anna and yet she arrives considerably earlier. The traffic might have slowed Ryan slightly, but not to that extent. [ Again no one cares. This is TV! ]

The green lime in Marissa's drink moves from being to the top of the glass to the middle, when the shot changes from wide to close-up.

At Oliver's party, Summer says "Seth Cohen is so 2003, and in 74 minutes I will never have to think of him again", then Anna says "73". That would make it one hour and 13 minutes until New Year's. But when Summer says this Sandy and Kirsten aren't even at their party. They skip their dinner reservations which are at 8:30 and head straight to the party. How could it be before 8:00 if there is 73 minutes until New Year's?

Seth and Ryan get soaked with champagne, but in the next scene they are still wearing the same clothes, which are clean and dry.

In the opening "I love you" scene between Ryan and Marissa, when the camera is on Marissa her arms are to her side. When the camera is on Ryan, Marissa's hands are on his chest. What results is an "up/down/up/down" kind of thing. [ how can you notice the up/down thingy? do you fast forward it? hahahaha! coz I bet that'll look really funny! ]

1.15 The Third Wheel

None

1.16 The Links

While Seth and Anna are in bed in the hotel, sometimes he has a robe on and sometimes he does not

The Jenga game is low in Seth's room, but when Summer walks in, it's much taller.

When Seth is in the pool the diving mask moves while he is talking to his dad and Ryan but he didn't touch it!

In "The Third Wheel", Jimmy says that he only has one line for his resume: the financial planning business that he started right out of college. But in this episode he says that he used to manage the Lighthouse restaurant as well, which would be an additional line for his resume.

When Oliver is shown in his hotel suite dumping out his pills, there are no flower arrangements on his coffee and side tables. When Ryan and Marissa enter the room, there is an impressive pink flower arrangement on the coffee table, and a pot of yellow (mums?) on the side table near the clock. Then, when Ryan is shown snooping around the floor, the yellow flower pot is gone, and the coffee table is not only also bare, but has been turned around from perpendicular to the couch to parallel.

The cars that the gang drive to Palm Springs in don't match the cars that they come back in. On the way down, they have Luke's truck, Anna's convertible, and presumably Oliver's car. On the way back, they have Luke's truck, Marissa's SUV, and presumably Oliver's car. [ hehehe...talk about overanalysing the situation! ]

1.17 The Rivals

When Seth and Ryan are talking in the beginning of the episode, there's a blonde girl who walks past Seth's left, and she's wearing a beige jacket, a purple-ish shirt underneath, a black skirt, Ugg-type boots, and a green purse. Then later on in the episode when Ryan is looking up the stairs and sees Marissa, it's supposed to be a couple of days later, but we see the same girl in the same exact outfit pass behind him.

1.18 The Truth

The week that "The Rivals" and "The Truth" spans has two Thursdays in it. "The Rivals" explicitly spans Monday - Thursday (Anna mentions that it is Thursday on the last day in that episode). "The Truth" opens up the next morning, and there are two school/work days and then Saturday during this episode. So there are 2 Thursdays this week. [ who cares? It's TV Dammit! ]

Luke's timeline on Saturday doesn't make sense. He calls Marissa during breakfast, and she sends him over to her mother's, but he doesn't get there until lunchtime? Ok, Julie wasn't home, but if he got there and she wasn't there, he just waited around for her? when he was so worried about Marissa being with Oliver? Plus, he left Julie's before Ryan and Sandy left their house, so he should have gotten to Oliver's first, but he wasn't there when Ryan and Sandy got there.

1.19 The Heartbreak

In the beginning of the episode when Sandy and Kirsten are talking in the kitchen, the amount of orange juice changes in Sandy's glass. It goes back and forth like this a few times.

Near the end; Seth starts a turntable and puts on Ryan Adams' cover of Wonderwall.. Which was never released on vinyl.

When Marissa came in the room with the rose to try and make up with Ryan, she unbuttoned 3 of his buttons. But when the camera shows to Marissa and then back to Ryan, his shirt is unbuttoned by only 2. And then it goes back to 3 at another camera shot.

1.20 The Telenovela

What the hell is a telenovela???

When Ryan and Theresa were walking on the beach in every diffrent camera angle they would have a different amount of ice cream on the stick. Sometime you could see half the stick sometimes you couldn't see it at all.

When Ryan and Teresa are talking at the end before he kisses her teresa's hair is on her face from the wind then in the next shot it is perfectly tucked behind her ear then it is on her face again then goes back to behind her ear.

1.21 The Goodbye Girl

When Ryan and Theresa wake up in her hotel room, Ryan is shown getting dressed. The buttons on Ryan's shirt change many times during the scene.

When Marissa is talking to Luke when he's playing the guitar, he starts playing a high note, and when the camera shifts the angle, his hands are back on the lower notes in a split second - no one can move that fast (almost lightning speed)

After Summer says "It does rain in January sometimes", she places her palm on the Seth's right cheek and leans in to kiss him, when the camera changes angle, her hand is cupping his face rather than touching the side.

1.22 The L.A.

Ryan and Seth went to the hotel at the beginning of this episode to pick up Ryan's watch that he supposedly left behind in "The Goodbye Girl" after spending the night with Theresa. But Ryan didn't leave his watch behind. He can be seen wearing his watch later in that episode after he left the hotel.

The words that Ryan uses when he leaves the phone message for Luke don't match the words that Luke hears when he listens to the message. Ryan says "I want to make sure you took care of it... take care of it!" and Luke hears "I'm just calling to make sure you took care of it... take care of it!" [ hahaha! that's funny! I never would have noticed that! ]

You can only hear Ryan's voice in the voice message sent to Luke. But wouldn't Luke be able to hear all of the music and noise in the club in the background of the message?

1.23 The Nana

Julie threatens Ryan, tells him to bring Marissa home, and then hangs up on him. The shot changes to Ryan, and you hear a dial tone, but cell phones don't have a dial tone.

How do Marissa and Theresa fit into the same clothes. Marissa is taller and thinner

1.24 The Proposal

When Summer shows Marissa the care bear Marissa reacts as though she's had the bear a long time. however the symbol on share bear's tummy is new. The original is a milkshake with two straws. the lollipops appear on the new bears introduced last year.

When ryan and marissa are on the pier, Marissa is eating an ice-cream. And when they start to kiss she just let her hand hang next to her. Where is her ice-cream?

1.25 The Shower

When Summer shows Marissa the care bear Marissa reacts as though she's had the bear a long time. however the symbol on share bear's tummy is new. The original is a milkshake with two straws. the lollipops appear on the new bears introduced last year.

1.26 The Strip

When Ryan is at the poker game the first time, the hand that he has pocket aces, there are already 5 cards on the table when the trucker hat guy goes all-in. Ryan proceeds to call, and then the dealer deals another card. One of the cards has mysteriously disappeared. [ I have no idea how to play poker and obviously ryan doesn't either! ]

When Sandy and Kirsten start talking on the phone, while Kirsten says "Oh thank goodness it's you," the background in Sandy's shot completely changes (a woman disappears, glasses disappear, people change). There is no way that everything could change that quickly.

When Caleb is playing craps at the hard rock, the puck is on the number 8, meaning that the shooter would need to roll an 8 to win. The dice land with a 5 and 2 showing, making 7, which would have lost, even though the dealer says "Pay the line!" [ Again I dunno how to play and apparently they don't either! ]

1.27 The Ties That Bind

In 1.26 The Strip, Sandy tells Kirsten "You'll be happy to hear that I didn't punch your father in the mouth. Jimmy did!" But in this episode Caleb ends up with a black eye! Since Jimmy only threw one punch, his fist either hit Caleb in the mouth or in the eye, not both!

When Ryan walks into Seth's room towards the end of the episode, Seth takes off his earbuds and picks up his portable music player. In the next shot, however, the music player magically disappears from Seth's hands, and is only slightly visible on his lap.

When Theresa is in the poolhouse getting ready to leave for work, she is seen putting her right earing in (she was not wearing a left earing). When Kirsten comes into the poolhouse, the shot changes right back to Theresa, who is now wearing a left earring, while trying to put in the right one again. [I was watching out for this but it didn't happen! Theresa was puuting in her right earring and then Kirsten walked in! Maybe they cut that part out ]

2.01 The Distance

The posters on Seth's walls changed over the summer. Who changed them? Why?
When Ryan places his plane ticket on his clock, it reads 6:27. A minute later, when he picks it up again, the clock reads 6:26. [ hahaha! that's coz clocks don't work properly in the OC! tick, tick, oh no! My second hand jammed on my diamond encrusted quartz face! Damn stupid expensive watch!

When Theresa is in the poolhouse getting ready to leave for work, she is seen putting her right earing in (she was not wearing a left earing). When Kirsten comes into the poolhouse, the shot changes right back to Theresa, who is now wearing a left earing, while trying to put in the right one again.

In the scene with Jimmy and Julie, Jimmy's glass refills when the shot pans out.

When Julie goes to turn off Marissa's ipod, she clicks the menu button which doesn't turn off the song.

2.02 The Way We Were

The very first shot of the harbor school carnival, we see a sign for the carnival. The sign should be readable to the people entering the carnival, not the people already in the carnival. The sign is backwards.
