"The Quick Fix Kills pull off a very dangerous feat: they are able to borrow
bits and pieces of influences from some pretty serious heavyweights without
sounding derivative ... They have plenty of
hooks, angular guitar slashes, and off-kilter rhythm to keep math rockers
nodding their heads and hardcore fans interested."
- John Peters, Lost At Sea
"Not satisfied with mere tightness, the Quick Fix Kills have achieved what very few bands that aren't Fugazi
have done: they've made a post-hardcore (yes, that is what it is) album that's actually fun to listen to."
- Justin Stewart, Splendid
Wits' End :: mp3
Wit's End is the first track from the Novel Weapons EP, out now on
Ernest Jenning Record Co. It was recorded
on August 6th/7th at Inner Ear by Don Zientara, and was mastered September 9th at Silver Sonya by Chad Clark.
It includes the songs Wit's End, Choking Down the Change, Evil Has Legs, and Get Your
Chops Together.
"If you like the kind of music that’s perfectly capable of scaring the absolute shit out of you,
throw in the “Novel Weapons” EP and sleep with one eye open."
- Rob van Alstyne, Basement-Life
