Another week of professional
wrestling has gone by and not much new.
The biggest star in the business left
the biggest company in the business
and then proceeded to beat his wife
who then refused to press charges. But
other than that........
WHAT was he thinking? WHAT was his
motivation? WHAT is wrong with him?
I wish I had the answer. I don't know
if ever anyone has fallen so far so
fast in this business. This is a terrible
situation for him but maybe not such
a bad one for the business. Situations
like this always bring forth new blood.
And when one moves up a level many follow
suit. Thus possibly creating opportunities
for some of our favorite Indie stars
to catch a break and get a developmental
deal. Who knows? WHAT? Time will tell.
WHAT? Wait and see. WHAT? Ok, enough.
This past week JCW had it's 3rd annual
Jersey J-Cup tournament. And much to
my surprise, and enjoyment, it was won
by the man who at one time was known
as the King of the Indies, Reckless
Youth. Hopefully this will get Reckless
back to the top of the Indie scene.
Reckless is a great talent who never
could catch on with any of the big companies.
Be it for size reasons or what have
you. But regardless Reckless is one
of the top workers in the business and
it's good to see him get his just due.

Calling all tag teams. HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The indies are chock full of over hyped
tag teams that aren't really that good.
Why are the young guys not training
in tag team wrestling anymore? We need
some GOOD team out here. If anyone who
is currently going to wrestling school
is reading this pay attention. There
are 100,000 Indie singles workers right
now. wanna get booked? Get a good partner,
develop some chemistry and practice,
practice, practice.
What's up with being stiff? Read this
carefully. Stiff IS NOT good. This is
not a quality you should strive for.
I don't think people in the WWE offices
are looking around going "Yeah
that Jim kid is pretty good but he's
just too smooth. We need someone to
injure our top stars". The point
is too LOOK stiff. LOOK stiff. Not actually
BE stiff. But trying to change the minds
of people who don't have much mind to
change is kind of pointless.
NWA - TNA. What can I say about them?Good
company run by wrestling people, doomed
to failure. Why? Well, would you buy
a used car without going for a test
drive? Asking people to purchase your
product sight unseen is ludicrous at
best (WWA). Asking them to do it on
a weekly basis? Suicide. Here's hoping
I'm wrong.
