Ring of Honor

PHILADELPHIA- RF Video presents Ring Of Honor determined the final four that will fight to become ROH champion on 7/27 last Saturday night at a sold-out Murphy Recreation Center in South Philadelphia. ROH returns to the Murphy Rec Center just five blocks from the ECW Arena and five minutes from I-95 on July 27th with a four-way one hour ironman match with the winner of the most falls becoming ROH champion. The participants will be "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels, Low Ki, Spanky "The Show Stopper," and "The Anarchist" Doug Williams. Tickets, directions, bus trip info from Boston and NYC or anything else you need to know about the show are available at ROHwrestling.com, RFVideo.com or by calling 215-891-9404.

Last Saturday ROH presented one of the best pure wrestling shows ever seen. It featured five matches over three stars (Spanky vs. Paul London, Doug Williams vs. Jay Briscoe, Jody Fleisch vs. Jonny Storm, AJ Styles vs. Chris Daniels and Spanky vs. Jody Fliesch) and three matches over four stars (Doug Williams vs. American Dragon, Low Ki vs. The Amazing Red and AJ Styles vs. Jerry Lynn). If you think this is just hype, check out the reviews on ProWrestlingTorch.com, WrestlingObserver.com and any of the message boards out there. This was pure, athletic wrestling in the Lucha, American, Japanese and European styles at its best. The videotape and DVD of the June 22nd "Road To The Title" show are now available for pre-order at RFVideo.com.

The show featured four tournaments to determine the four men in the ROH title match on July 27th. Results saw:

Tournament A: Spanky defeated Paul London; Jody Fliesch beat Jonny Storm; Spanky beat Fleisch.

Tournament B: Christopher Daniels, who introduced his new group The Prophecy with Simply Luscious as the first member, beat Scoot Andrews; AJ Styles beat Jerry Lynn; Daniels beat Styles.

Tournament C: Doug Williams beat Jay Briscoe; American Dragon beat Bio-Hazard; Williams beat Dragon.

Tournament D: Low Ki knocked out Prince Nana; The Amazing Red beat Xavier; Low Ki beat Red.

Non-tournament action saw Sumie Sakai beat Simply Luscious. Tag team mayhem saw Dunn & Marcos, Da Hit Squad, Divine Storm, SAT, Christopher Street Connection with Allison Danger, Natural Born Sinners, Loc & Devito all battle it out in hardcore chaos that included hubcaps, tables, blood, high-flying, stiff action, spanking and more! The ROH tag team scene is now in total chaos.

After the final match, the best new play-by-play guy in the business Donny B tried to make ROH's big announcement only to be cut off by Christopher Daniels. Spanky then punched Daniels allowing Donny B to announce that starting this September Ring Of Honor "High Impact TV" will be seen every week on WGTW Channel 48 in Philadelphia.

The ceremony to unveil the belt was also interrupted by Daniels. This started a four-way brawl between Spanky, Daniels, Ki and Williams that ended with the belt never being shown and Ki almost killing Daniels when he caught him in a dragon sleeper that he wouldn't release. Daniels and Ki ended up being carried to the back still locked in the hold.
