Words from Strozilla/Ohio,NWATNA,
Raw thoughts
Hey gang! Just returned from a two
day tour of Elyria and Cleveland, Ohio
for MCW and CAPW over the weekend. Ironic
that the WWE were conducting a PPV
and Raw in the same area.
The Elyria show was a hot night..literally!
Man, I didn't think it was that
hot up there! It was great meeting all
the MCW guys. Also got to see former
ECW star Chris Hamrick(whom I was gonna
be tagging against the next night).
In the back, Chris and I were watching
the monitor and giving commentary on
some of the earlier matches..hilarious!
Then later on I made my MCW debut
facing local star Cuefa. The match went
well with us displaying some good
mat wrestling and reversals. I debuted
a new submission I haven't seen since
my training with the UWFI years ago
which is like a reverse spinning told
hold into a reverse half crossface.
I have decided to call it the
"Stromatic". Great show by
MCW as I would like to thank them for
a great
night.
The next day I had an evening show
at Turner hall in Cleveland, Ohio for
CAPW. It felt great to be back in CAPW
as I was involved in the main event
featuring myself and another former
WCW star Bobby Blaze as we took on the
North American tag team champions Chris
Hamrick and Julio Dinero. The match
went great with lots of action. Chris
and Julio did some great high flying
team work while Blaze and I supplied
the technical offense. At one point,
I
executed my "Stro Snap" on
Hamrick while Blaze did his flip stunner
off the
top tope. But Julio made the save to
have him and Hamrick retain the titles.
Twenty minutes of great wrestling. I
am sure a rematch for the tag titles
will be in the future. Great to wrestle
with all three of them!
Got a chance to watch the NWATNA show
last week. The PPV was unique with
Ferrara saying Alicia Webb was formerly
valeting for the Maestro (Thanks Ed
for the props). If those former WCWer's
can only see me now! The show itself
showcased some pretty good independent
talent with a few former WCW and WWE
stars in the mix. Apollo, A. J. Styles,
Lynn, and Bo Dupp looked good. I was
very impressed with the Wall's look
and performance. His match with Shamrock
was by far one of the best of the night.
Congrats to Shamrock winning the NWA
title. If Severn doesn't come back to
get a title shot or Corino doesn't vie
for it, I know of someone who would
be more than willing to get a match
with
Kenny..cough..Strozilla..cough...
Heard last week also that my match
with the Demon (Dale Torberg) were shown
on ESPN as they were doing a story on
him. Torberg was always a great guy
who
worked hard to make a name for himself
in WCW. Best wished to you Dale as I
hope things are going great for ya bro.
Just got home in time to catch Raw
this week. I don't know about you guys,
but Goldust doing the "Crocodile
Hunter" skit on Raw was pretty
hilarious!
Him and Booker T just keep getting more
entertaining every week. Ya know,
it's a darn shame Michaels isnt still
wrestling in the WWE. Brock finally
talks! Nice to see WWE pushing new blood.
Let's up others just as deserving
get the same rub to help them and the
company shine. Ya know, it's a darn
shame Michaels isn't still wrestling
in the WWE. It would be great to see
a
Michaels vs. Triple H feud take place.
Especially after the supposed "Kliq"
reunion on the KOTR ppv with the NWO
saying they would help HHH but never
did. Interesting this week as WWE is
on a feeling out process to separate
the
gems from the stones.
