Report I

The show was high quality and professionally done. Ring, mats on the outside
of the ring, barricades, lights, and entrance way....it looked like a WWE
show. The place was packed, as they had to set up more chairs during the
first match. It even started on time, which indie shows never do. All the
workers were really good. There wasn't a bad match on the show. All the
workers on the show were students or graduates from the IWF Camp (except
Biggie Biggs, Kevin Knight and The Patriot, who are trainers at there
school). This IWF group deserves more publicity, so I thought I'd send in
this report:

* The opening contest saw Debonair Damian Adams pin Eric Andretti. This was
a very good, simple opening contest to get the fans charged up. Adams won
with a splash from the top turnbuckle and he got great height and distance.

* Dante and Axis pinned Dylan Black and Tommy Trouble. This was a student
match and it was OK. Dante and Axis won with a side slam and neckbreaker
combo.

* Best 2 of 3 Falls: Roman def. Josh Daniels 2 falls to 1. Mike Winner of
the Winner's Circle managed Roman. Roman won fall #1 after a running
powerbomb out of the corner. Daniels got fall #2 after a roll-up, and fall
#3 went to Roman after another powerbomb after Winner gave Roman some
assistance to distract Josh.

* IWF Championship: Biggie Biggs (C) pinned Kevin Knight. This was no dq
with falls counting anywhere in the building. This was REALLY good. The
match had everything. Both were faces, but Knight acted as the villain The
wrestled at first, then it turned into a brawl. Bumps in the floor, bumps
into the railing, chairs and some other plunder, but it all made sense.
Biggs scored the win with his choke slam into a powerbomb. These 2 should be
in WWE as the match was major league quality. Best thing on the show.

* IWF Tag Titles: Travis Blake and Shawn Donavan (C) def. Shane O'Brien and
Pierce St. John. This was right after the half time break, so the crowd was
kinda worn out after meeting all the wrestlers and eating food at
intermission. But nonetheless, it was really good. St. John is a funny heel
and did the old Rick Steiner gimmick of talking to his hand.

* Lumberjack Main Event Match: The Patriot pinned Hadrian. Some of the
lumberjacks included Winner's Circle members for Hadrian, and Biggs, Knight,
and IWF Commish AJ Sparxx. The Patriot is huge. WWE still needs him (in my
opinion). Heel lumberjacks beat up the Patriot when he was on the outside.
End came when Patriot hit his classic finishing move, The Uncle Slam. After
the show, the Patriot brought all the kids into the ring, which was very
classy. The whole IWF is very classy and the show was great. Thanks!

Report II

Promotion: Independent Wrestling Federation (IWF)
Date: July 10, 2002, 7:45 pm
Site: JCC Center, Edison, New Jersey
Attendance: Looked to be 200 or so, which was just about capacity.

The Results:

Match 1: Damian Adams b. Erik Andretti. Good solid opening match action with fast-paced moves and a lot of energy. Adams won it with a top rope Frog Splash for the win.

Next up was an interview segment with the Winner's Circle heel group, which was with Mr. Mike Winner, former champion Roman, and American champion Hadrian. Winner said how in the match later tonight between Biggie Biggs and Kevin Knight that one of them had already secretly joined their group. Roman made a 2/3 falls challenge to Josh Daniels, and Hadrian wanted his main event lumberjack match with the Patriot to happen right now, so he called out the Patriot, and out came a midget dressed up in a mask and USA clothing, to which the Winner's Circle had some fun with him.

Match 2: In a match with students from the IWF school, Axis and Dante b. Tom Trouble and Dylan Black. This was decent considering it was with newer wrestlers. Short and sweet and ended when Axis shoved Black to the floor while attempting a moonsault and the heels hit a double neckbreaker slam on Trouble for the victory.

Match 3: Roman b. Josh Daniels winning 2/3 falls. This was very solid and the best match so far. Winner was in Roman's corner. Daniels looks like the brother of Chris Benoit, same build and ring style. Daniels dominated the action early, with a nice snap suplex and a belly to back suplex. As he went to the top rope for 10 punches, Winner distracted the ref and Roman low-blowed Daniels then hit a running powerbomb off the 2nd rope to win the first fall. As Daniels laid prone on the mat, Roman was toying with him and Daniels played possum and rolled him up for the 2nd fall. In the 3rd and deciding fall, german suplex by Daniels for a near fall. Daniels then made Roman tap out to his cross-face submission, but Winner distracted the ref. Daniels let go to knock Winner off the apron, but turned around into Roman's powerbomb, and Roman won the last fall to win the bout.

Match 4: This was the No DQ, Falls Count Anywhere Match for the IWF Title as Biggie Biggs retained to title by beating Kevin Knight. Knight had a promo before the match saying that eventhough he and Biggs are friends, he was still going to take his title. Knight subtlety played the heel role. Match started with a handshake, but turned into a brawl. Biggs beat up Knight on the floor, including a backdrop from a piledriver attempt. Biggs sent Knight flying into the guardrail. Back in the ring, Knight took over, and hit 2 nice suplexes on the 300 pounder. Knight used a chair on Biggs. Ending came when Biggs revered Knight into a chair that was places in the turnbuckle corner and hit his sit out choke slam for the win. This turned out to be the best match of the night. Very entertaining and hard hitting. After the bout, the Winner's Circle attacked both men until the Patriot made the save.

Intermission: ALL of the wrestlers signed autographs and met with the fans.

Match 5: Travis Blake and Sean Donavon b. Pierce St. John and Shane O'Brian. In this match, Blake and Donavon retained the tag team titles.

Match 6: Patriot won a lumberjack match by beating Hadrian. Action started with Patriot having the advantage early, bouncing Hadrian around the ring. At one point, after the battle royal spot where all the lumberjacks enter the ring, the faces got all the heels in a corner and crotched them simultaneously on the ring post. Hadrian took after Winner tripped Patriot. Hadrian applied a sleeper, but Patriot made a comeback, until Winner held Patriot on the apron. As Hadrian charged at him, Patriot moved, they collided, and Hadrian stumbled into the full nelson slam as the Patriot won the match.

Overall, a really great show. Every match was solid, with the Biggs title match the best. Nothing was bad. The crowd was really into every match, and the building had A/C, so it was very enjoyable.
