This week we have seen the dastardly
comments made by The Ultimate Warrior
concerning the death of Britains
very own Davey Boy Smith. Today I will
give you my reactions to The Warriors
outburst; and I will also share with
you some of my thoughts on other subjects.
Today I welcome you to another edition
of Aaron Undercover.
The Ultimate Warrior spoke out last
week on the death on the death of Davey
Boy Smith. Warrior spoke out how the
drugs had killed Davey, and how over
the years his inside body was dying.
Warrior went on to state that Davey
was
a man that was out to get as much as
he could, and didnt care how he
got
it. You can read what The ultimate Warrior
had to say by clicking this link

It is sad how a man who was once in
the public eye, as now faded away in
to
forgetfulness and then all of a sudden
makes a name for himself by speaking
out on a man who is dead and is also
unable to defend himself. The warrior
sounds very bitter, but in his recent
words he has defended himself by
saying he is only talking the truth.
Should The Warrior be talking the truth
or not, their I no need to verbally
attack someone that as given so much
to wrestling, a man that as done
Britain proud, and a man that over past
abuse has now died.
If Davey died due to his drug abuse,
t at the end of the day his down to
the
way to how Davey lead his life. For
The Warrior to make a name for himself
in a manner that is totally unacceptable
goes to show just how desperate he
is to get himself some publicity. (s
it also a coincidence that The Warrior
is due to release a biography of his
career?)
Davey Boy as passed on, and he isnt
here to defend himself. Davey should
be
remembered for the good times and not
his low points in life. We are proud
of what this man as done in his wrestling
career, and for The Warrior to
come along and try to discredit Davey
Boys name is diabolical.
GBH wrestling as impressed me this past
few weeks. GBH promoter/owner Chris
Curtis as pledged that his promotion
will move towards a more technical
approach in their wrestling product.
GBH was once known as a hardcore
promotion that left audiences shocked
at their brutal approach. Blood was
spilt on every show, and every instrument
imaginable (including the kitchen
sink) was used during their hardcore
era. Today that very promotion teaches
a more technical style to its trainees.
GBH was once called the most
hardcore promotion in the country, and
now they are working towards being
called the most technical and wrestling
orientated company in Britain.
Chris Curtis as changed the course of
the company, and now aims to steer it
towards a more wrestling based product.
I have said many times that British
wrestling as lost its style of wrestling.
British wrestling was the showcase
for technical wrestling; British wrestling
had a unique brand of product to
the rest of the world. Today British
wrestling tries to copy the WWE;
wrestlers are trained to do spot fests
and very little wrestling. In the
words of Mark Sloan who when speaking
to Jack Halewood, The fans want
WWE
wrestling, so I teach my trainees how
to do spot fests and thats all
they
need to know.
Mark Sloan must be the worst trainer
in the country, and I urge anyone
looking to be trained to look for an
alternative school to learn the trade.
British wrestling does not need to copy
the WWE, what British wrestling
needs to do is put more wrestling into
its shows and to stop thinking what
the fans want, and offer the fans what
they pay to see, and that is
wrestling, not some cheap tacky wannabe
WWE promotion like the FWA.
To copy the WWE Is not the right way
for wrestling in this country to go,
what wrestling in this country needs
is for the promotions to offer an
alternative to sports entertainment,
and show the fans we can offer
uniqueness to our style. Fans will be
just as happy, if not happier to be
treated to a great night of wrestling
rather than some WWE wannabe that
looks tacky and poor.
Just recently the WWE as lost a lot
of interest in its wrestling product.,
house shows attendances are down, TV
ratings are scoring 4 year lows, even
the WWE know that the sports entertainment
they are offering is in need of a
change. So doesnt British wrestling
also see what is happening? Dont
the
promoters see the warning signs? Do
they not feel its time for a style that
is unique? While some promoters take
the time to offer a much improved
wrestling style, some promotions just
live in a enchanted world, where they
dream of being the next WWE, sadly they
are just producing crap and living
in a world faker than wrestling.
The world that the FWA lives in is
faker than wrestling. They tell as many
people has they can whether it be through
TalkSport Radio, wrestling
magazines or their website, they tell
everyone they are number 1 and offer
a
great wrestling product. I pity the
poor fans who turn up at their
monotonous shows, and realise just what
a waste of £5 it was to sit in
a
crowd that has more trainees than paying
customers, and get a WWE copy cat
of entertainment for the night.
Britain as some good promotions and
I have mentioned these in my past
columns. Britain also as some very poor
companys that offer very little
to
wrestling, and its the latter
that fall in to this category.
Many people talk of British wrestling
coming back to the TV screens, but I
seriously feel that British wrestling
far from securing a TV deal. Some
promotions have small deals with television
companys to produce
documentaries, and some campaign to
be shown on TV only to gone unheard.
Everyone thought that after Revival
back in February, which was shown on
Bravo, that British wrestling would
soon be shown on television. Sadly we
are no where near to seeing a full time
wrestling programme on television,
and the only way would British wrestling
stand a much better chance being
shown on TV screen were if it were to
become a more stable and joint unit.
British wrestling as too many bridges
that are burnt, too which many can
never be repaired. For British wrestling
to become a more functional
society would b for many promotions
to join together and work in a more
business friendly environment. But sadly
that will not happen in the
foreseeable future.
Actually some promotions are gearing
up to working with each other, but even
I question the reasons behind this.
It wouldnt surprise me that in
a years
time some of the promotion teaming up
to work with each other will become
bitter enemies. We have seen promotion
launch joint operations only to see
down the road for that to end in hatred.
Is it that wrestling as too many
egos? Or is it that, they have
different ideas? Or is that the dreams
they
had only become more of an illusion?
Wrestling in this country seems to
have its own cliques, it seems to be
divided and many wrestlers and promoters
have different outlooks on what the
wrestling scene in this country stands
for. Friendships are far and few
between. There seems to be very little
trust, and maybe its this trust that
stops the wrestling business becoming
a more functional unit?
Until next week I bid you a safe and
happy time.
