AMBER HOLLY TO RECEIVE WWE TRYOUT
Reigning FWA World Women's Champion,
Amber Holly, is scheduled to
tryout for the WWE on August 20th in
Fayetteville, NC. Holly had
been gaining recognition throughout
the Carolinas while competiting
for the Carolina Wrestling Federation.
Through their affiliation
with the FWA, an international sanctioning
body for wrestling based
in England, Holly was entered in a tournament
for the then newly
created FWA World Women's Title. With
wins over such stars as
Leilani Kai, Desiree Petersen, and Alexis
Laree, Holly captured the
World Title on November 17, 2001. Since
winning the title, Holly has
turned back all challengers including
tough matches against Bradi
Alexander and GeeStar.
The publicity of her title run along
with video tape review of CWF
shows has landed Amber a shot that many
can only dream of. Everyone
in the CWF/FWA wish her the best on
her upcoming opportunity.

CAROLINAS HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION PICKS
UP ANOTHER TITLE
Reigning FWA Carolinas Heavyweight
Champion, Otto Schwanz, added yet
another trophy to his long resume of
championships at the August 7th
NWA-TNA PPV event in Nashville, Tennessee.
Schwanz is known as "Bo
Dupp" in the NWA-TNA, a name he
also used while competiting in ECW
and the WWF. The Dupps announced the
new hardcore division
championship known as the "Dupp
Cupp Invitational" then promptly
proceeded to destroy Ed Ferrara to claim
the title for themselves.
