This is the report for the huge ICW
show at Topsail High School on June
15th. This was an action packed card
from top to bottom. The crowd was pumped
and ready to see some great Indy action.
The show kicked off with 2 major announcements
regarding the show. First, the Tag Team
Title match would now be a triple threat
match with the Anti-Hero League becoming
the third team in the match. Second,
the womens match to be held later
in the evening would now be to crown
the First-Ever ICW womens Champion.
Now it was time to kick of the action.
Match #1
Bobby Austin vs. NOS
Before this match got underway, NOS
addressed the crowd and said that one
Austin left the business this week and
he was here to beat another one out.
Sidewinder then got onto the microphone
and said if he couldnt beat NOS
he would retire. This match was high
paced and exciting. It ended when Bobby
Austin hit the Stunner on NOS for the
win. A great opening match with plenty
of action.
Match #2
Violent Storm vs. Trailer Park Boys
The TPB came out and badmouthed the
fans. The match started right when the
Violent Storm hit the ring. It was a
classic barnburner between two of the
top tag teams in ICW. With plenty of
high impact and highflying moves, this
match showcased the talents of all involved.
The end came when Big John Thundercloud
hit the big splash for the pin.
Match #3
Stunning Steve Michaels
vs. Jinx
This match was a back and forth contest
from the get go. Neither wrestler could
mount a sustained offense. Both wrestler
dug down deep into their respective
repertoires of moves. In the end, Michaels
got the win with an implant DDT on Jinx.
Match #4
J. Marcus Lawson vs. J. T. Sparxx.
Before this match got underway, Lawson
addressed comments to Badd Company and
Dr. Tom Rouse. He said he wanted into
the group and asked what he would need
to do. Dr. Rouse then came out and said
he would evaluate the match and see
if he was good enough. This was a classic
technical match in every sense of the
word. J.T. got the W with his patented
Frog Splash. After J.T. left the ring,
Dr. Rouse got into the ring and told
him he saw some good things and he saw
some bad things. Bottom line is he lost
and to stop calling them.
Match #5 To Crown ICWs First
Ever Womens Champion
Natasha the Russian Beauty vs. TNT
This match was high flying from the
onset. With move after move and reversal
after reversal, the ladies put on quite
a wrestling display. Both women refused
to quit and wanted to win the title.
In the end. TNT hit a double-armed DDT
to become the first ICW Womens
Champion. Natasha regained her composure
and left the ring. These two will most
surely meet again down the line for
the title.
Match #6 Triple Threat Match for the
ICW Tag Team Titles
East Coast Bodily Harm (C) vs. C.R.
Smooth/Romeo vs. Anti-Hero League
This match got under way before the
champs made their way to the ring. The
AHL jumped C.R. and Romeo. While this
was going on the champs made their way
to the ring with Dr. Tom Rouse along
side them. The proceeded to say they
were no longer the Biker Outlaws; they
were East Coast Bodily Harm. Once the
champs made it to the ring, the action
was fast and furious. With double team
moves aplenty, this match was exciting
from bell to bell. The end came when
ECBH hit their finisher on Vinnie Vain.
After the match, the AHL and ECBH had
a stare down in the ring, shook hands
and said they would meet again.
Match #7 Co-Main Event
Former WCW superstar the Stro vs. Wild
Shane West
These two men have wrestled in other
so called organizations at the same
time but this was their first ever match
up. It started out as a chop fest with
both men trying to make the other bleed.
This was a match that had everyone on
the edge of their seats. The action
was fast paced and non-stop. Both men
took the other outside the ring and
both whipped each other into cement
walls. When the action made its
way into the ring, both men were exhausted.
It turned from a wrestling match into
a street brawl. Stro was punching West
in the corner and when the ref tried
to break it up he go a punch for his
troubles. West reversed and gave the
Stro and ref the exact same treatment.
Finally in the center of the ring the
two men were going at it and they both
punched the ref. The action spilled
outside where the locker room had to
come out and break it up. It was ruled
a Double Disqualification. Both men
have vowed to meet again and to see
just who is the better man.
Match #8 Co-Main Event ICW Heavy Weight
Title Match
Mean Marc Ash (C) vs. Viper
This match was heated from the beginning
since these two men have no loved lost
for each other. It went back and forth
with Viper using the power moves and
Ash get in the technical moves. The
end came when J. Marcus Lawson interfered
to help Ash. When he went to hit Viper
with a clothesline, Viper ducked and
Lawson hit Ash. The champ got up mad
and started to jaw with Lawson. Viper
took the opportunity to school boy Ash
for the win and the title. Ash was livid
afterwards and demanded before Dr. Tom
Rouse schedules a rematch for the title,
he wants Lawson in the ring. Lawson
was left speechless in the ring.
The huge show at Topsail High School
on June 15th was one of the best shows
