NECW's Top Talent To Wrestle On 8/24 Ring Of Honor Show

PHILADELPHIA- RF Video presents Ring Of Honor is very pleased to announce that it has added the premier talents in New England to its Boston area debut show on August 24th in Wakefield, MA just ten miles outside Boston at the Americal Civic Center. For tickets, directions or whatever else you need to know about the event visit ROHwrestling.com, RFVideo.com or call 215-891-9404. There is a bus trip to the event from Queens, NY and info on that can be obtained by emailing Agentclpt@aol.com.

New England Championship Wrestling has produced excellent events in the Boston area with talents like Alex Arion and Maverick Wild. These two rivals will continue their feud in a one-on-one match August 24th. The show is headlined by the first ROH title defense by Low Ki as he defends vs. AJ Styles in a rematch of their match of the year candidate at "A Night Of Appreciation." The card features three grudge matches with Donovan Morgan vs. American Dragon, Michael Shane vs. Paul London and Jay Briscoe vs. Mark Briscoe. Also signed for the event is a Boston Massacre Match that is sure to get violent between Da Hit Squad and The Carnage Crew. Plus, Homicide & Boogalou vs. Tony Mamaluke & James Maritato, The Amazing Red vs. Quiet Storm and more with The SAT, Scoot Andrews, Xavier, Prince Nana, Christopher Street Connection with Allison Danger, Simply Luscious and others!!!

Alex Arion is the current NECW Heavyweight Champion, having captured the
title this past March from "Brutal" Bob Evans after an almost year long
chase where Evans broke his ankle in September 2001. A native of
Manchester, NH, Arion was originally trained by Al Snow in 1996 and 1997.
He continued training with former WWE Developmental talent, Steve Bradley.
Arion has been wrestling since 1998 and has toured for IWA Puerto Rico and
Power Pro Wrestling in Memphis, where he shared an apartment with Steve
Bradley and Kurt Angle. Arion has proven himself to be a charismatic and
rugged competitor who is as comfortable an aerialist as he is a mat
technician.

Maverick Wild is a former NECW Heavyweight Champion. He has been wrestling
since 1989 and competed throughout New England and had a brief run in WCW.
Wild is a great technician and one of the premiere talents in NECW. He has
gained the respect of NECW fans for his phenomenal series of matches with
"The Torture Device" Doug Williams, gaining two wins and a draw with the British
sensation.

Arion and Wild are currently locked in a bitter feud. Wild has had two
title bouts with Arion - one which he lost narrowly and the second where he
lost suffering a dislocated finger in the match. Wild is now trying to work
his way back up the ladder in NECW and a non-title win in the Ring of Honor
match will elevate him to the #1 contender position in NECW.

NECW Promoter, Sheldon Goldberg said, "Arion and Wild are two of the best
kept secrets in pro wrestling. On Saturday night, August 24 in Wakefield,
MA, Ring of Honor is going to find out what NECW fans already know - that
these two men are among the elite athletes that are the hallmark of Ring of
Honor and NECW."

Be there on August 24th as Ring Of Honor presents the hardest-hitting, highest-flying, most athletic action featuring only the top talent. If ROH draws a decent crowd in Wakefield, it will return to New England on a regular basis. Be there on August 24th and help change the New England wrestling scene!!!

NECW will present its huge 2nd annual birthday bash show this Friday, August 9th at the Good Time Emporium in Somerville, MA headlined by an Arion NECW title defense vs. Justin Powers plus a preview of the ROH show as Jay Briscoe takes on Mark Briscoe and much more!!!
