My Weymann 85This is my lightweight banjo. A Weymann style 85. I bought it in 1995 in Sweden. The neck lacks the Weymann name but has more perloid than usual and is propably an Orchestra neck. Why it was put on one of the style 85 is a riddle. Somebody suggested that this was a prototype( just like they test new components on ) and that somebody sneaked the banjo out of the factory. It has a very siginificant sound ackording to the construction with the megaphonic rim and a wooden tonering.banjoatte@mac.com contact me

The resonator
See the very unusual construction with the tensionhooks running through the resonator. It is missing the special washers in the resonator. When somebody put a plastic head on and tightened it a part of the lamination in the resonator separated. If somebody has some washers so pliiizz contact me. The neck has a slight bend that has to be corrected. |
The resonator
The wooden inlay on the back is beautiful. There is another banjo that has a Harlequin sitting on the halfmoon as wooden inlay.
Due to the neck and the resonator this is for the time being a wallhanger until those matters are corrected.
