A Short History of The Band...

THE BAND:Firstly, only two members are the originals- Myself (Sean) and Rob Barnes. around summertime 2000, Rob and myself met up in a music lesson and decided to start a band. so, naturally before we could start rehearsing, I had to save up for my first Fender Strat! Soon we were belting out catchy rock 'n' roll riffs and having a bloody good time. We went through several members, and several names, ('White Noise' and 'Electronic Voice Phenomenon' being two!') and Rob even left for about a month or so back in 2003. But then we recruited Rob Ansell, and everything seemed to come together. I bought some decent recording equipment, a better guitar, a better keyboard and a bigger amp, Rob learned how to Shred, and over the past few months we have been steadily recording songs onto what we hope will become our first ever EP! THE MEMBERS: ROB ANSELL: Rob's been playing the drums for bloody ages, and he's the best drummer I've heard in a while. He keeps the pace while me and Rob go wild on piano and guitar, and occasionally we stop and let him have a bit of a solo.... Looks as though he could have been descended from an Austrailian surfer. ROB BARNES: Conveniently the two robs are Rob A and Rob B.... This Rob has a certain knack of being able to play notes faster than you can see him fret them. He's probably the best guitarist I know too- and he idolises Zakk Wylde, Slash and the late Dimebag Darrel. He loves to get pissed and usually is by the end of a rehearsal, if not before... is now studying for his grade 8 guitar, and has applied for a place at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford. Can often be seen wandering the streets in a motorcycle jacket... This boy's gonna be a rock star, and I'm with him all the way! SEAN(me): I started playing keyboards at the age of 10, and gradually started to learn freestyle blues licks while picking up the guitar along the way. I sometimes attempt to sing, and like any good keyboardist, I have a passion for the '80s and its electro- music and the deep-dark and gothic style of the era. I am an amateur recording technician for the band, as I'm the only one with a job that pays enough to buy recording equipment... and I wrote most of this website, so there! pphhht! Well that's us... a surfer, a biker and a goth. That's Jazz for you!
