An intranet is a secure way to make a collection of resource available to a few. Intranets are mostly used for employees or clients of the business. Today business are using intranets for security purposes, they are being used to provide information for customers and their employee. Intranets are used to make communication more private for small work groups as well as large organizations.
Autostyle will not have an Intranet, as the company isn't big.
Extranets
Extranets are ways of combining the internet with intranets. By implementing extranets, work-groups or customers of the company are not confined to the small amount of resources made available. They get the benefit of being able to navigate all over the WWW as well as having more security and information available to them exclusively.
