"THE SKYLARKS"
The Skylarks have been around for quite some
time . Their roots date back to 1974 when the
Firehouse 5 minus 2 were formed. They continued under the “Firehouse” banner for nearly 30 years.
The Skylarks name was officially adopted in
September of 2000. The name change reflected the fact that they were no longer a Dixieland band (even though they still play it), but that they play a much wider variety of ballroom dance music.
The Skylarks are led by Weldon(Mac) McCutchen on trombone, along with Bo Boshears on trumpet, Jim Anderson on tenor sax, Mike Severino on Alto Sax,
Jim Wynne on Piano, George Reaves on bass, and Al Alhades on drums.
This is a fun band to hear. Get them for your next function.
