Proper and Pristine

Proper and pristine
Feminine and clean
More sensible than most
Perfect lady, Perfect host

Sweeping bread crumbs from her jeans
Angel face with dirty wings
Lose yourself to fit the size
With wings too weighted down to fly

They taught the importance of winning
And they taught that black is slimming
And she observed so many years
The shame that came with fear

Sweeping bread crumbs from her jeans
Angel face with dirty wings
Lose yourself to fit the size
With wings too weighted down to fly

Smile to show those perfect teeth
But never let them see your eyes
Hide the pain, hide the grief
Never let them see the lies
No, never let them see you cry
Never let them see you cry

Sweeping bread crumbs from her jeans
Angel face with dirty wings
Lose yourself to fit the size
With wings too weighted down to fly
