Brix
Manufacturer: Epic Games, 1992
Designer:
Michael Riedel
Description:
A clone of Taito's Puzznic,
it presents the player with an array of square puzzle pieces that
can be moved horizontally across the play range. Each piece has a
symbol shared by at least one other piece, and when two or more of
the same type touch, they'll disappear. When there is an odd number
of matching pieces, three at a time must connect. The goal is to
make all the pieces disappear within the time limit. There's 112
levels, and as you go along, Brix adds more challenging gameplay
elements, including lasers, reversing gravity, teleporters,
elevators, breakable barriers, acid pools and water pools.
It also has some similarities to Taito's Plotting.
