- groovy, swinging and committed music for listening and dancing -
Jambalaya plays, quite simply, music that we like without any limits! The music has to be enjoyable and versatile and the grooves must call for dancing. The audience must be entertained. Then we feel good and can give our best! In all, we provide a tough mixture of traditional jazz, swing, mainstream, blues, bebop, rhythm´n´blues, folk music, rock´n´roll and, at occasions, a Viennese Waltz !

Erik Persson plays alto and tenor sax . For twenty years he was a member of Kustbandet and he has also played in innumerable swing and trad bands. He participated in Crazy Rhythm, devoted to French Gypsy jazz, along with
guitarist Mikael Selander. Micke has played with many illustrous Stockholm orchestras and is a highly wanted musician.
Kjell Berggren, piano player and singer, has his earliest musicial merits from five years in the famous Stockholm Boy's Choir and, at a slightly more mature age a number of years with among others Rockfolket, Heliga Hoppets Kapell and Cave Stompers. Nowadays he shows his talents at the keyboard and vocal mike in Prima.
Krister Ohlsson started playing the drums in Imperial Band and then kept the beat in Kustbandet for a long time. He has played blues with Peps Persson and is since the early eighties the drummer in Swingsters,
where you also find - since 30 years - Nils "Kulan" Rehman - bass and vocal. In the past Kulan was the singer of Stans Band and Kansas City Stompers from Denmark.
Thord Larsson who plays saxes concludes our line up. Han is also a member of Swingsters. You can also find him, and Krister O, playing New Orleans R&B in The Beeters
