I know. The site is two years old. I might as well say "Otanjbi omedet" to it also. Otanjbi omedet.
I might as well say some history. The first year was an introduction year. The second year was a year new materials were being introduced. Year three will be different, as I will try to have a heavy focus on certain sections or rather sections I don't spend much time on. That is if all goes according to plan.
I guess that is that. If I don't see you, have a happy set of holidays. Enjoy the Suzuki Ami-san tour if you're planning to attend one of her concerts at least. Mata Ichigatsu.
11/26/04
Give me one more episode. That's it. One more episode and I'll have a final verdict.
11/25/04
Well, today is Thanksgiving Day in America at least. I actually had the meal yesterday and as of this moment, I am 50/50 on going to a cousin's house. The reason I want to stay is that I might want to work on fan art and seeing that my sister, who has the scanner as of now, will only be here until Sunday, I need to work quickly and give the art to her.
That new Puffy show is well, on the bubble right now. It may did capture the personalities of Ami and Yumi to an extent and it does have their songs, but it has so many wrong elements. Where do I begin? Oh, I might spill something.
They added an "s" at the end of a Japanese noun when it's not making a posessive case. There's no way a Japanese person can have a personal Japanese name that doesn't end with a vowel, unless it's an "n". They even attached "feo" to the name of a Californian city for a make up city and used U.S. currency in Slovakia for a phone call, which doesn't make sense at all. (Yes, I actually saw a small view of Slovakia.) Oy vey.
I don't know if I should keep watching it or not. I might as well try again tomorrow. Two episodes isn't enough. Maybe after tomorrow night, I'll be able to see if I should keep watching it or not.
11/23/04
Might as well place this here. Iggy says that "The Idolmaster" will be out some time in the spring. Beta tests will start next month at the earliest.
Um, there's a bright side for having this game not reaching the United States. I do not get a form of crack. Had it arrived here, raising my idol would be like crack!
11/22/04
I was going to place up a review today, but I've decided to place it up on the big day. I'm so busy right now. Ja.
11/20/04
The tournament is over. Will there be a report next week? No. That will be for the day the site turns two, which is a week from tomorrow. That's my big update for that day.
11/15/04
I can't believe I forgot. "Hey! Hey! Hey! Music Champ" is 10 years old. Omedet. ^_^
11/10/04
The MMCafe's boards don't work again, I have to resubmit an application for San Jose State at some point later on and I want okonomiyaki. It doesn't help that the only okonomiyaki place in my place closed down. I want to cook my own okonomiyaki, but not now. Maybe before Christmas I will make some.
I am now part of a San Jose game tournament organization. San Jose State will be having a game tournament a week from Saturday. I'll be working with either "2003" or "Fighting Jam". I will not play any games either because I hate the games, as in the 2D ones or I don't consider myself good in the games, as in the 3D ones. I would have given "SC II" a "maybe", but no Japanese voices equals no play.
Tomorrow, I can't be disturbed because I want to work on that one review I've been meaning to take care of. Ah, it has been haunting me for a while now. Ha ha ha!
Oh. I finally got myself a steady non-recreational e-mail address. That's that.
11/1/04
At first, I was planning to update during next month. What changed my mind however is the Suzuki Ami-san tour. So, the day Bata-kun no Uchi turns two is the last day I will update for the year.
10/26/04
This week hasn't been too kind on me, but I guess I'm holding on. I lost all three of my transcripts, but I only need to buy two of them. I can't do it today because of weather matters, as the showers go on and off. Tomorrow, I'm bringing my bag so that I don't lose the transcripts.
Now, with this university mess in mind, I have to push my Anipike matters a week back. As much as I hate to do this, it has to be done so that I can fully focus on the mess. So, I pushed it back.
Oh yeah. I forgot to mention this earlier, but Fanime 2005 might have game two fighting game tournaments next year: an SJSU one and a heavily SNK-themed one. I will be the staff member that will co-host these two tournaments. So, next year's con will have much work than this year's. I'm already working on rules. (See how much work I am dealt with?)
Games that will be in for sure:
A "Garou Densetsu" game - either "Real Bout Special" or "Mark of the Wolves"
"The King of Fighters 1998"
"Samurai Spirits: Amakusa's Advent"
"Street Fighter Anniversary" - "SF II" or "Third Strike", though more people want "II"
Maybe "Dead or Alive Ultimate"
I guess that's that? Yeah. Mata ne.
10/12/04
Pafi~ no ranto mite kudasai.
10/11/04
Pafi~ no konsa~to da! (Puffy concert if you don't understand the roumaji.) I'm off to see Puffy. Ja mata.
10/9/04
Usually, I would be watching lots of anime right around the beginning of a new season. This season is no exception, right? Wrong.
Aside from arriving in Europe, I had to fix various matters. If that wasn't enough, because no one wanted to review a soundtrack for the Pike, I had to step up. I'll be reviewing "Stellvia's" soundtrack and honestly, I never saw the series. So, I guess this will be the first non-biased review I have ever done. I want to get this out of the way and Shuu-sama knows if I will get the soundtrack either tomorrow or the day after. I want to get this out of the way so that I don't have to worry about it later on and it feels weird to being doing a review for the Pike because I can't remember the last review or article I submitted for the Pike. "The King of Fighters 1994" wouldn't be a bad choice and I guess I'm still the old school reviewer.
Oh yeah. I can't forget about the Puffy concert on the day after tomorrow. Ah, so much stuff to do. I'll sleep a lot tomorrow and the day after. If all goes according to plan, I should perform my only update on Thursday. If I don't get the album tomorrow, I might do the update on Wednesday at the earliest, but I wouldn't be surprised if I do it as late as a week from today.
If you couldn't tell by now, the only new series I saw was "Mai Hime" and it's entertaining. I will follow this for sure and I'll finish "Aishiteru ze Baby" also. There are other series, but they'll have to be in the backseat for now.
Um, that's that? I'm off. Ja mata.
10/7/04
Forgot to do this earlier. Add "Gunbuster II" to the list of series I am looking forward to, even though the first episode is up. Hah!
Eh. It's still morning. I'll sleep in 10 minutes or so.
10/1/04
It has been nearly a whole month and I haven't typed up an entry. Um, wow. That's a long time.
Well, since I have not done a fall anime rundown and I will not do one for this season since some series have already started, I might as well place my watching schedule. Anime I know that I'm looking forward to are "To Heart's" second anime series, "Air", "Mai Hime", "Moon Phase", and "Tales of Phantasia" as well as "Kumo no Mukou, Yakusoku no Basho". Anime I either have high interest in or have started becoming interested in as of late are "Bleach", "Beck", "Genshiken", that one kappa series (even though I didn't play the game), and "School Rumble" as well as "Nanoha" and that "Black Jack" series, even though I didn't see the previous stuff of it. Anime I will debate over are "Yakitate-Japan", "Kannazuki", "Uta ~ Kata" (just because I can only read the names of Kawakami Tomoko-san and Tamura Yukari-san for the moment), "Kujibiki Unbalance", and "Musumet". I might as well throw in "Wish" and "Rozen Maiden" too. I doubt I will watch "Sunabouzu", "Grenaider", the second "Seed" season, "Fantastic Children", "Tactics", "Campus Alice" and "Samurai Gun" (which is weird because I usually watch anime with Avex involved). Series I will not watch for sure are the new "Yuugiou" series and the new "Zoid" series. Anime I'm not sure of: well, whatever is left, goes in here, mainly "Jipang".
That's that. I have to check mail and do a bit of updating. Oyasumi.
9/3/04
10 news runs in one day? Will this be a record? I don't know. I do know that at 10, I will stop for the day.
8/28/04
It's past midnight. I might change my mind and place up an update. I originally wanted to make an image of Annie in Michette's outfit, but I just can't seem to make it fit. I don't know why.
I originally planned to do a fan art of Haruka, but the more I keep thinking about Annie, the more I realize, "Hey! An Annie fan art debut seems to be more bigger than you doing another fan art of Haruka. People already have done fan art of Haruka. So, that can wait". I saw a fan art of Cassandra, but too bad it was naughty. Does this mean I have to be the first one to make a clean fan art of her too? I suppose that can wait. Maybe I want to do an Island Princess fan art instead or one of Plastik.
I already have an answer to the current case and I just started on a new one, though I still need to put the new case up. This new case is a stubborn one and the subject I'm dealing with here is "Black/Matrix". I have a connection who has played the game before. (I wish I can say the same.) I just need to talk to him. I also have a friend whose friends might help me out also.
Still, I better not see an article regarding myself failing to solve a case. That is one of the last things I want to see. I have too good of a record to see a thing like that happen.
8/25/04
Nearly half of my hiatus has passed away, but not in the way I wanted. I still needed to tell a certain someone to hold onto a certain something if he had it. I got that taken care of yesterday, but it took nearly half of my hiatus to get that done. What can you do about it? I guess it's one of those matters that can't be helped.
I want to try to buy a Puffy album (which will be "Jet" most likely) before I leave next month. If I have time and a computer to work with, I will update during my trip. To be honest, I still don't know how my parents got a trip to Europe and I have no idea what will my tatay do during the trip in terms of group activites, but oh well. I doubt that I'll be involved, but if help is needed, I'll provide it.
I am watching a karaoke (a word I shudder at constantly because non-Japanese people don't know how to pronounce it properly) video of Tamaki Nami-chan's "Shining Star" that I got yesterday. I can't say that she's the next Namie-sama...yet because to prove those doubters that you're not another one-time wonder, you need to bring out a solid second album and she hasn't done that. When the time comes, then I will say that she's the next Namie-sama.
Carol's album's nice. I have no witty comments to bring forth regarding it. It's just a nice album.
I won't update on Saturday, but next week will have a good amount of new material. Most likely, Monday and Tuesday of next week will have new material and a week from today, I'll have to do some major editing as well as looking over at new reviews I have lined up for the next few months. The highlights of fall are "Air" and "Tales of Phantasia".
I might as well enjoy the rest of this hiatus I'm having. Hopefully before the end of the week, I will complete a fan art of "Love Hina's" Haruka (my main focus) and I want to try to make a fan art of Annie of "Rage of the Dragons" who still does not have a fan art to this day, but I'll have her cosplaying as Michette of "Black/Matrix". An interesting idea for a character's fan art debut, eh? Well, I'm off. Mata ne.
8/21/04
Well, I beated the GameFAQs board censors spelling "Aishiteru ze Baby" in its traditional form as "Aisiteru ze Baby" and I saw the latest episode of it as well. Yay me. The Fillmore is still killing me and if I don't get a ticket soon, I am just going to explode.
Hopefully, tomorrow will be better. At least I got a new Carol Banawa album, though my tiya was supposed to send me one a few months ago and I saw a "Bare Knuckle" fan art, though it has pantsu today. So, today's not that bad.
Well, that's that. I'll enjoy my hiatus. Mata ne.
8/13/04
Well, I took care of the matters. So, why did I decide to place up a diary entry now? It's because I did not start my break just yet. Starting tomorrow, the only time I will be using the computer is for music for the most part. I will not be doing any chating or the like. I'll do this for most likely a week and a half.
Right now, I'm working on a "Twinkle Star Sprites" guide. There's not much going on, but it has some information already. It's fun. I should fix up on my old guides soon.
Well, that's that. I'm off. Mata raish?
8/10/04
Okay! The only sections I still have to worry about are the reviews and the reports. Anime reviews are done. Manga reviews, anime reports and manga reports will be taken care of tomorrow.
Scratch that. The game matters will be taken care of tomorrow. I already took care of the animated and book matters as well as other matters. Swift, am I?
8/4/04
I really need to take a week off. Maybe two weeks. I so need the rest.
8/2/04
Did I mention how exciting "Re: Cutie Honey" really is? Oh, I guess I did. Hee hee!
8/1/04
Um, it's August. Yay. Oh and if I were you, I'd wait for a better version of a translated "Shinobuden". There are no karaoke translations and I saw plenty of noticable editing mistakes. The translation is tolerable. So, yeah, go and wait for a different version.
7/30/04
I don't know if what I'm saying is true or not, but I am the first non-Japanese person to finish "Bare Knuckle II" on mania. Not "Streets of Rage II". "Bare Knuckle II". If it's not true, then I'm one of the few non-Japanese people to beat the game on mania. It took me three credits to finish the game, but I accomplished the task. Yay!
7/19/04
Well, what will I do during these next seven days? Not update the site. That's what.
I'm going to Europe in a few months. Originally, both of my parents were supposed to go because of some group matter, but because my tatay has U.S. citizenship, my nanay had no choice but to have someone replace her, so that there will not be any borderline issues to worry about. I'll be going to Germany, Austria and a few other countries I can't remember. I wanted to go to Italy, but I guess it can't be helped.
Okay! I'm off! I'll see you in a week.
7/15/04
Haven't typed up an entry in here for nearly two weeks. The feeling's weird too. Huh.
Well, I am starting to feel horrible. The heat has been killing me, and I keep feeling strains in parts I never imagined. Maybe I'm aging faster than most people.
I hope to get a "Sensei no Ojikan" review done before the month's over. I doubt that my "Midori no Hibi" one will be finished by then. I have plenty of future reviews lined up I guess. Ha ha ha!
Oh, July is so killing me. What now? I don't know.
7/3/04
I have decided to put my break on hold. People who are attending this year's Expo shouldn't worry though because I won't update until Tuesday. I'll just make more future reviews. My break's new date will be determined later.
Earlier this week, I had weird fantasies with Ingrid in my mind, thanks to that "Capcom Fighting Jam" scan I found. The same goes for Hikaru and Garnet of "The Rumblefish". Thankfully, those are now gone. (I don't know why, but whenever I see sprites of new moe, weird fantasies of them pop into my head.)
Oh! I've neglected to mention this earlier. I saw the first season of "Chappelle's Show" uncut. (Yes, I do non-anime/non-manga tasks every now and then.) That guy is hilarious! I don't know where to begin on what the batch is like!
Well, I need to get going. I want to get in as many reviews as I can for the long run. Wai~!
7/2/04
I did everything I need to do. I'll take my break now and I'll stop the break on Monday, though I won't start updating again until Tuesday. Hona!
7/1/04
Long story short, I found a lost note and I needed to take care of its business before I forget again. Tomorrow, I'm taking my break. I mean it.
