Bata-kun no Uchi - "Nanaka 6/17" - Anime
'Whee!'

Title - "Nanaka 6/17"
Alternative title(s) -"Nanaka Jnanabun no Roku"/"Nanaka Juunanabun no Roku"
Genre(s) - Comedy and drama

I'll breeze through this one real quick. "Nanaka 6/17" is a 12-episode Genco/J.C. Staff series based on a shnen manga by Yagami Ken-sensei that came out in March of last year, along with an extra episode. Kirisato Nanaka may seem like your normal 17-year old girl who studies time after time. However, she has a tendency to faint and this acts up on her. One day, she falls down the stairs, and as a result, she now has the mind of a 6-year old girl, retracing back the days of her youth. Now, Nagihara Nenji, Nanaka's childhood friend, must guide her until she returns to normal. So, what will happen to Nanaka from here on?

Fun - 7

Okay, this may be one of the corniest series you have ever seen and that's what I thought at first. Then, as I kept watching and watching, I realized, "Hey! This is better than what I have heard." People, don't underestimate this series. Take away a few pointless characters like that one gang and there's not much else to worry about.

Life - 8

Yeah, like I said, it's better than what I thought, though I still want some characters out.

Story - 8

There's nothing ordinary here, but the story's fine.

Audio - 10

I think I found my blues-buster song in life: "Sunao na Mama"/"Gentle Ways" by Funta. For some reason, I can't get this song out of my mind and maybe I'll never figure out how to do so. Oh, who cares? The music as a whole gives off a poppy feeling and it makes you feel good.

The voice actors, aside from Horie Yui-sama, are people you pretty much don't know. Oh well. The batch is good enough anyway.

Art - 10

The designs are somewhat okay, but the reason I give it a 10 here is because there's an anime in an anime. Yes folks, this is one of the few series you will ever see an anime in an anime. Oh and "Magical Domiko" was entertaining if I do say so myself.

Overall - 8

So, what have you learned? This has been one of the most underrated series ever. Sure, it's weird, but in the end, it's pretty fun. Watch a few episodes and see if this is for you.

+

There's an anime in an anime and this is a better series than one would think.

Some characters are a waste of space.
