"Basically I love to play music, all kinds as long as it is good with good musicians.
I've been fortunate enough to meet Bobby Kimball and he took me around the world playing music in Japan, Europe, Canada, North and South America."

Biography ..................................................................................................................................

Right now I am very interested in Latin Music and I am learning a great deal about music that has been under my nose for a long time. I have also spent a long time playing the Blues and listened to the old time drummers of Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Little Walter and many of the New Orleans drummers like Zigaboo Modelest. Jazz has been in my blood since I was a little boy learning to play and when fusion was discovered I was right there trying to imitate drummers like Billy Cobham, Lenny White and Jack DeJohnette. Tony Williams has and always will be my favorite drummer of all time from Miles Davis to his rock fusion band with Allen Holdsworth.
I've also had some great drum teachers to name a few Jimmy Robinson, George Walker, Ray Torres and Stan Lunetta all from Sacramento and from Los Angeles Glen Sobel, Richard Wilson and Mark Craney. Since I've been in Amsterdam A good friend of mine Joeri Baldinger a master drummer of a gadzillion World music & latin styles has helped me to open my eyes to this wonderfull music and he also taught me how to count 3/2 & 2/3 claves which is the basis of most of the music that we play, Latin and Pop music.
Other drummers that were influencial are Elvin Jones, Steve Gadd, Mike Clark, Jeff Porcaro, John Bonham, Art Blakey, Buddy Rich, Vinnie Colautia, Horacio Hernandez,Dave Garibaldi, Terry Bozzio and Trilok Gurtu.
Other important composers for me are Jimi Hendrix, John Coltrane, Eric Dolphy, Charles Mingus, Duke Ellington, Chick Corea, John Mclaughlin, Tony Macalpine, Steve Lukather, Mike Landau, Scott Henderson, Jaco Pastorius, Joe Zawinul, Wayne Shorter and the Brecker Brothers.

This is a short list of some of the bands that I played and recorded with.
