The University of Ohio State completed
a perfect (14-0), season in route to winning the Fiesta Bowl and the
National Championship over the defending champion, Miami Hurricanes.
The thrilling double overtime (31-24) victory came for the Buckeyes in
front of 80,000 plus fans at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe Arizona, in one of
college footballs greatest games. The scarlet and grey defense dominated
Dorsey and the Canes, in being the only college team to ever go 14-0 in
Division 1A.

Illinois, and other victories over ranked Texas Tech, Washington State,
& Penn State, the Buckeyes and coach Tressel gave College Football a
season for the ages.
