Cytokinesis

The division of the cell cytoplasm to create the two final daughter cells is called cytokinesis. Cytokinesis results when a fiber ring composed of a protein called actin around the center of the cell contracts, pinching the cell into two daughter cells, each with one nucleus. Thus, a cell is born! (Well, two, actually.) The cell cycle does not end here, as it is a cycle. Rather, the two daughter cells progress again to interphase and the cycle repeats itself.
