Telophase
Telophase is the last phase in mitosis. It begins when the spindle fibers disappear, the nucleus reappears, and the chromosomes reach the poles. A new nucleolus is organized, and a nuclear envelope forms around each set of chromosomes. In other words, a daughter nucleus is formed at each pole in the parent cell. The final split, however, does not occur until cytokinesis. The next step in the cell cycle, not a part of mitosis, is cytokinesis.
