This is the result of listening to Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start The Fire", reading Michael Moore's book Stupid White Men, and seeing "Bowling For Columbine." I suppose it can also be attributed to my dirty liberal beliefs as well. *shrugs* All I know is that this is my sarcastic answer to the question "What is America?". I guess its good thing that I'm not in politics yet- I'd have everyone ticked off at me. Oh well... Enjoy the poem and DON'T STEAL IT! I wrote it, it's mine, and you'll be very sorry if you take it and claim it as your own. Oh, and if you have differing opinions thats great- we are all entitled to or own opinions but don't run me out on a poll for mine and I'll do you the same courtesy. Thank you.
What Is America?

America is out to save the world
Evangelize it with our religion
The Church of Democracy
Thats the ticket
Repent all you sinners!
REPENT!
We Americans, we know best
Stomp out the opposition
And to heck with the rest
We helped Osama and Saddam
See how well that worked?
Rally around the flag
Or get out
Thats what America is all about
Don't question authority
And worship the wealthy
Love your SUV's and your waste
No one cares if we trash this place
Act now, think later
Oh land of preemptive strikes, death penalty, and quarter pounders
One nation
Under no one and nothing in particular
Waging a war for peace
Yes, coming soon
Parking space in Iraq
Anyone that ticks us off
Blow'em up
We're the biggest bad-asses on this rock
They're no longer a threat
If they're dead
Oh, but, we're doing it for the common good
And that justifies it all
So lets cheer for double standards
And compromising our ideals
Nation build and feel the pride
Anyone up for a free ride?
Wave your Star-Spangled-Banner
Join in on the fun
We gonna have us an ol' fashioned "Red Hunt"
And by the light of our nightly book burnings
We'll do Joe McCarthy proud yet
We must protect ourselves
Sacrifice our souls
And stifle all thought
Who needs freedom?

Life is a relative thing
Liberty is just un-American
And the Pursuit of Happiness
Means disregard all needs but your own
