Fridaty 18th June 2004 : Graduation Day
I just got home from a dinner at Chillis. I've been going to Chillis too often these few months which is not good, as it is making me fatter and poorer.

Today was graduation day for me at Mantissa Institute. I am now officially a diploma holder (whoop dee doo). Well it was short and simple, just the way I like it. The dress code was for people to wear tie, coat, long sleeve shirt, slacks and formal shoes.

Did you really think that I would go by that? I wore Docker's Mobile Pants, those collarless shirt (so that I wouldn't need to wear a tie), a blazer and meh regular loafers. Well my pants hem were long so I had to fold it. Which made some of my lecturers annoyed.

I took some pictures of the event and even pictures of my friend and their parents. Oh well I'm always the photographer at functions and I believe no one can capture footages as unique as me. HAH.

I've looked at my photos and I think I really need to get pants that makes my legs look better. With 'fitting pants' they make my legs look small in proportion to my upper body. Looks stupid.

* * * * *

Afzal planned to celebrate at night with all the other diploma graduates but it was either too far for them to come, or they are just plain stingy buggers. So ended up Afzal, Shawn and Me going to Chillis at 1 Utama.

Of all Chillis in the Klang Valley, this 1 Utama one has got to have the worst staff. The staff are newbies and always changing faces meaning they are not there often.
Now if you have been to Chillis, you would know that the waiters are friendly and would always check on your table every now and then to see if you need anything, usually a drink refill. This 1 Utama place, you gotta like attract their attention if you need anything. Some of them even pretend not to see or hope somebody else would do the job. Stupid people. I won't go to 1 Utama Chillis till they train their waiters properly and make sure they maintain the standard.

Today I went to collect my COE (confirmation of enrolment) from Simone from Jean Monteiro. She is a better and much pleasant person to deal with compared to the boss of the place namely, Jean Monteiro.

Man I really hate doing visa, it is so leceh.
First I gotta like go through all the details and fill up my data in the forms and right after that, I have to go for medical checkup within 48 hours. The list of doctors to go to will be provided but I do not know where yet. Sigh and tomorrow is Friday so I guess I have to do it next week. It is going to be real busy next week.

My flight date is on 9th of July, Friday 10am in the morning. I am destined to reach Melbourne at 7:30pm in the evening.

Shawn and I spent some time looking for apartments to rent while we're over there. Temporary accomodation might have to be reserved as we do not know what to do exactly now. Still waiting for email to be replied to Shawn to let us know if there is available apartments.

Tomorrow is graduation day... I'm not really looking forward to it.

Blazers = Over gaya
Argh that stupid muscle twisting crap happend to me again this morning, I still think its something or somebody making me wake up because my alarm clock was disabled half hour before this happened. This time the pain came very slowly but as I got up it vanished.

Went for dim sum with Enoch, at the same place I went with him and Alice last week. Stupid waiter, I ordered 'stir fried carrot cake' and he brought us 'deep fried carrot cake' the one like char kuay teow.

I wore my blazer to church today and turned alot of heads. Once again I was the over-gaya'ed guy there but I kind of like it. I like dressing smart even if it is not that big a deal of an event.

Was calculating prices for the specs of my computer upgrade... did not think it would be that pricey T_T
Sigh... my mother was not too pleased about it. Well if I could prevent it I would, but my education and future career depends on it so... I hope I am able to get what I need without much resistance from me momma.

Blog for Saturday 12th June 2004
well yeah I got home pretty late yesterday so I did not have the focus to write a blog.

Woke up early in da morning and followed Enoch and Alice all the way to Bangi for Alice's sister's wedding. The reason being all the way at Bangi is because the groom lives there.

The schedule was somewhat unstable and kept changing the whole time. I was told that we would travel straight to the Equatorial Hotel (resort) Bangi. Then suddenly ended up going to the groom's house where I walked around the housing area in the hot sun. I did that rather than be in the house of somebody I don't know and also they were burning the incense thingy that really got up my nose.

After that, Enoch demanded that we go eat some Kajang Satay which we did. Nothing really fantastic except that the beef and mutton were really tender.

Finally went to the Equatorial Hotel, wasn't really as I imagined. It was indeed a resort looking place. The rooms were quite spacious which was impressive.

Later in the night after waiting, Wedding Dinner commenced, but before that Enoch was singing _that_ song and I played the guitar while the bride and groom walked into the ball room.

the menu had quite a decent selection I can say.
- four season opener (usual)
- sharks fin soup (usual)
- boneless fried chicken wit mango sauce
- fried garoupa in soy sauce (fried till hancur)
- vegetable \
- prawns ----> both of these I went walking around
cos I don't eat those stuff

- fried rice with anchovies
- lin chi something something; some sweet soup wit stuff in it which I didn't eat. Just drank the soup.

I was the only guest that was overdressed there wearing a blazer. The only other two people that wore a coat was the groom and the bride's father <_<

Went back with Enoch near midnight, but Alice planned to stay in a hotel room with Ivy (her younger sister) and her cousin. Which was quite to Enoch's liking as he and I had plans which Alice is not suppose to know about so I will say no more.
Reached home at 12am something and well that ended my day's adventure.

2 birds wit 1 rock
Well I decided to go book my air ticket at Jean Monteiro today since Shawn did that without telling me <_< . Yesterday he was saying how good looking the staff at Jean Monteiro's was. Her name was Simone. Well the first time I met her, I didn't really ogle at her, because I was there on business and when I was there, it was her first time at work there.

So today I went there and sort things out wit Simone instead of Jean Monteiro; the owner of the company.

Shawn is somehow attracted to her. Well anybody who are friends with me should know that I am quite mean when it comes to discussing about people or things. I tend to hantam them kau kau and then whoever is conversing wit me end up both laughing alot about it but this time, Shawn started it first. Saying something about preferring to deal wit Simone then Jean Monteiro with the sentence, "I don't want raisin... I want ribena berry"

On the way home, Yus; the staff from my college called and told me that my invitation letter to the graduation ceremony next week 15th was ready for pick up so I went there before going home.

While waiting for Yus to pass me my envelope, this meddling person there called Molly, suddenly came and gave me lecture on what to wear at the graduation ceremony. I gave her a look indicating that I didn't need to hear her crap and she got the signal. I still wonder what is her purpose in the college.

Shaving Suxx
I just shaved and frickin cut myself on my chin... wit a gilette mach 3. Yeah I cut myself wit a triple blade shaver <_< and it hurts like frickin hell. Maybe it's because I added listerine to the bleeding. Listerine is one of the best antiseptics around the household for wounds. It ain't just a mouth wash!!!

I hate shaving. Girls who like clean shaven men better appreciate it when their guys shave their faces for them.

oh my frickin' head...
8th June 2004 - Tuesday

woke up at sometime noon today because of my dog barking at God knows what outside. I told him to shuddup but guess he doesn't understand english that well.

Woke up and was online reading articles, the same usual ordinary day when I'm have no where to go. Sometime in the afternoon Enoch suddenly called out my name at the back of my house. I was like... what the crap, looked out my window and saw him there. Apparently he did not pay his phone bills so he couldn't make calls. He came to my house to make some phone calls and also practiced singing Joshua Kadison's "Beautiful In My Eyes" for his sister in law's wedding dinner. Guess who has to play guitar for him T-T . Its at Equatorial Bangi. (BANGI!!!)

Finally found Saber Marionette J complete anime after how many years of searching. But then I realized it was in .ogm format. Who the heck so free to create such a video format. I had to reorganized my cluttered divx codecs to prepare for that anime and use different media players to play them and their interface suxx. The only benefit about .ogm files are that you can switch between languages for audio if available, most of the animes by default are english which really bothers me. Animes should be watched in its original language with subtitles! Btw, I haven't even figured out how to activate subtitles <_<.

Well today my one side of my house gate collapsed. Again. And I saw my other dog; the one that stays outside missing. So I guessed she must've sneak out through the hole of the gate which was not standing straight. When I went out, I saw some neighbour chasing her out of their house. And I shouted at her to get back in my house which she did.

In the evening I suddenly had a headache and tried sleeping. It didn't work. So I went to badminton with a headache and the recovering injured left leg. Lost all games played.

Zenden, called (after a long long while) and talked to me about his n-gage. I wouldn't think a person like him would buy an n-gage, cos he doesn't support nokia products. He was trying to find out what the phone can do and all that and talked about meeting up with me (for the Xth) time but never ever materialized.

Sigh when I'm over at Australia, there won't be mamak food for me for one and a half years. I love nasi lemak. Guess won't be having that for a while <_<.

Animes Are Inspiring
7th JUNE 2004 - MONDAY

somewhere the night before, I was talking to Afzal about me downloading Chobits and he recommended using bit torrent as it would be more reliable, I thought what the heck just give it shot. Afzal said usually it downloads at 30kbps more or less while kazaa is really pathetic nowadays. When I was downloading the Chobits; the whole 24 episodes the speed was around 122kbps and Afzal couldn't believe it, so I sent him a screenshot. Later in the early mornings I checked before playing warcraft with Shawn, the speed was up to 222kbps (even wow for me) and best part was there was no lag while playing with Shawn.

9am woke up and saw that my download was complete.
And to think that it took me the weekend to download 3 episodes of Chobits, while this bit torrent did the whole series within less than 12 hours.

Today I was suppose to wake up at 9am to go collect my passport. I woke up before then but went back to sleep again. It's a bad habit, I always seem to be able to wake up before the alarm clock goes off but then I refuse to get up any sooner. Today I didn't set my alarm to wake me up cos my dad said he would do the waking. I didn't feel like getting up at all when suddenly the muscles in my lower left leg tighten and felt like it was being twisted inside. It hurt like hell... Like my leg could've might as well just break off since I was in agonizing pain. This however is not the first time I've experienced this... only last year onwards once in a while it will happen to either my left or right leg when I'm sleeping on the bed.
This problem cannot be relieved that easily, if I move, the muscles will tighten even more and hurt even more, the same goes if I relax the mucles, the only way was to hold the position till the pain very very very slowly subsides.
The weird thing of this problem is that it happens when I need to get up, as far as I can recall. Or just keeps me from getting the sleep I need.

So I got up and went to wake my dad. Yes he was sleeping. Well can't blame him the weather was so cool and comfortable for sleeping in after how many days of blazing hot and humid weather. I'm interested to experience the four seasons of Melbourne. Yeah so we got out, had breakfast and went to collect my passport which took only like fifteen minutes. Badawi, or should I say Pak Lah rox.

Got home had nothing to do, so I decided to do Chobits marathon, watched the entire series from 11am till 4pm. After watching the hardships that the main character (what's his face) went through, I was inspired, motivated and wililng to face whatever life difficulties that Uni-Life abroad has in store for me minus the cute chobit chick. (damn)

Well had dinner at my uncle's place (again) not to my preference as usual. Came back and Afzal dropped by and passed me some cds to burn the Chobits series in. I feel kinda lazy as I have yet to burn my own copy of Chobits and other series on my 80+40gb hdd. I'm trying to back up all my goodies in preparation for my new computer.

Chobits is one of the best anime I've ever seen, well it is almost a big impression as Love Hina; my first anime recommended by Shawn. In short and rather rough way of explaining why I like this show is because I find a dumb cute girls trying to learn things in life quite appealing. Especially when they get the teachings wrong. If there are any animes with beautiful/cute girls, you can be sure sooner or later I will get around to finding out about them and watching them. (buahahaha) A girl's innocence turns me on.

Well the main character Hideki Motosuwa is a ronin student, a student that failed to get into a university cos of bad grades. So he decides to try again by taking the exam the following year. He moves to the city and rents an apartment. Life was tough for him as he found that chobit chick and now became even poorer as he had to support the chobit chick as well. But fortunately he found a job and worked and seemed like he was able to provide for himself and her. Well... he also did receive alot of help from the people around him.

I wish my experience in Australia could be similar to that. But I don't think the chobit thing will happen.

Sunday... one of the good ones I've had
Well I managed to wake up to the sound of my alarm clock today to go for dim sum breakfast with Enoch and Alice at nine something in the morning at a new shop in Uptown.

It was fairly good, but then I don't eat dim sum much so I wouldn't know what would be good and what would be terrible, I usually order the common stuff that they can't possibly screw up like the fried turnip cake, and char siew pau, this time they didnt have the fried prawn in batter thingy. I'm still quite confuse what is lobakow and chai tau kueh. pple say they are the same thing but I realize that calling it different will bring u a different form of preparation for it. My case however i prefer the square ones and not the one that is fried like char kuay teow.
During that meal I discovered Alice has one thing in common with me which is that we both are lazy to go out (walk/drive) to find food eventhough its nearby and would rather find something in the house to eat. Well for me if I have nothing to eat I don't mind, I can wait till the next meal time comes.

Church time... I arrived early and everybody (except me) were having prayer meeting so I was sitting down thinking then I decided to be different today, I went behind the musical instrument cabinet and tucked in my shirt into my pants which I seldom do... Well that attracted alot of peoples' attention (nyahahaha). Well I succeeded in that. The potong steam part was Eunice asked me why my pants were so high up -_-". I wanted to say that my legs were long and my torso was short, but it somehow didn't get to my mouth, I just said 'no lar normal wor.' Some people said I looked funny cos I never usually tuck in my shirt.

After church service finished my mom abandoned me and left me wit my uncle to send me home cos she wanted to go to office and do work. My uncle didn't take me home instead took me back to his house and said 'later I'll send you back'. So I spent the whole day there doing stupid things on the computer with my cousin till dinner time.

After dinner now I'm finally back in my seat in my room... (ahhh... bliss)
Watched 2 more episodes of chobits... Chii is sooooo cute >_<

Each day passes I feel more and more discouraged and gelabah cos my mom hasn't acquired the financial means to pay for my first semester at Swinburne University and I need to get the cash and my form in by next week or ASAP in order for them to process it and send me the letter to get my VISA and a medical checkup. Everyday wasted is a day closer to succession in screwing this big time for me. I've got this one shot and I don't wish to blow it. Oh dear God please help me. T-T

things dont appear as they seem especially when you're paranoid
well today I didn't really do much, woke up at 12pm (again) and just sat around the computer reading n-gage forums and my own forum.

and checked my kazaa to find that chobits was taking forever to download. Since I had nothing to do I thought I'd burn Full Metal Panic 1 and 2 for Ryan me goodest friend since high school, since his cd's were already with me for a long while now... I did manage to finish it with even an extra cd to boot. before passing the cds to me, Ryan counted and he said he was one cd short, I didn't really like the idea of having to use my own cd-rs as I was running low on them myself... but good things turned up and he had an extra cd left which he asked me to fill with some 'power' stuff.

and while I was up to burning cds, I thought I would also burn the Michael Buble album for Eunice since she asked me last week (where she actually went out wit Enoch, Bee Lee and me for lunch, imagine that! [actually to my knowledge she rarely socializes wit us] so i was quite happy that day)

while burning the michael buble cd, i'd thought she might be interested to listen to the sounds of india arie, so I said, what the heck just burn it for her as well and hope that she likes it.

Saturday Night practice, night practice~ we know how to do it...

before I left my house, I had a strong feeling to ask my cousin Jerome online whether Eunice showed up for church today, cos usually she doesn't attend saturday night rehearsals. to my joy Jerome said she did. on my way to church i sms'ed Eunice just to check if she was still at church, she replied saying she was having dinner.

then again i just felt like asking her if she was having dinner wit Enoch. she said 'yes. why?' i just replied 'i sensed it' although later in the night Enoch did not admit to having dinner wit her O_o so... i'm not really sure now.

well the first thing I did went i came to church was too find her *grins* and pass her the cds, and there she was playing the acoustic guitar looking as cute as ever.

when she was done wit the guitar, i grabbed it and played Jason Mraz's 'You and I Both'. I was surprised she knew the lyrics to that song and sang along wit me and my other friends were backing me up wit the bass and e-guitar... *woohoo*

after the rehearsal Eunice came to the drums and watched me play on them for a while. now she knows a thing or two about drums as well so i invited her to play a bit but she refused... <_<
later when i got off to play on the guitar she sneakily went to the drums and played... although it was very soft i could hear it... not too bad for a person who hasnt played for years...

when she was bored wit our (Max[guitarist], Mathew[bassist] and me) jamming session she told Max she wanted to go home, well Max has just gotten his P license so Im guessing he brought her here and suppose to bring her back home. so Max had to go and send her back... sad for him, but even sadder for me... oh well... thats how its to be i guess... i envy him though.

came home and saw that 3 episodes of chobits have been completed *WOOHOO* played gunbound for a while and after that watched the first episode of chobits and was laughing alot, quite cute and funny the show... i still wonder why none of my friends (guys) mentioned anything about it though...
okay its 3am now i gotta sleep cos tomorrow suppose to go wit Enoch and Alice (Enoch's wife) to eat dim sum at 9am. hope i can get up this time. me set alarm clock.
