Good Friday Was Good
Mood:  chillin'
Now Playing: Delirious - My Glorious
Today was the one of the nicest Good Fridays I have ever had. Usually back home in Malaysia all Good Friday was, would be dark and gloomy day where we would remember what Jesus did for all of us.
However we should not feel sad on this day as if somebody dear to us had died but more of somebody who had saved the world.

Yeah anyways enough about that, my point was nothing usually happens on Good Friday for me but today my friends Attila & Pam and their family invited us over for sort of like a get together in conjunction with Mandy's (Pam's sister) birthday which was a few days ago. Attila called me like something around 1pm in the afternoon while I was still trying to get some sleep but I thought, oh well why not go out for a change.

When Shawn and I arrived there, we saw many other people already there and settle in, enjoying the food and chatting with each other. Okay now to the interesting part. The food.

I started off having Afghany bread with 4 different type of dips which was made by Mandy. She's a chef and she is a uber one at it too. Sometimes she brings us some of her cooking which is a real blessing! Then later I ate some nasi briyani like thingy which taste good as well, probably made by Pam and Mandy's mom. After that I ate some hotdogs and chicken wings from the barbecue grill. I regretted not eating them corns =( and then proceeded to eating some indian vegetable mixed salad thingy and also some spiral pasta thing. I was stuffed after that.

After that I hung around chatting with some of Mandy's friends, they were all very nice and friendly people.

Not a long while after, we had a birthday cake which was absolutely delicious! It was Tiramisu Baci Cake which contained tiramisu (obviously) with like coffee flavored ice cream. It was so good that I had to go for second serving. I wanted to go for a third but just could not take it anymore, I felt too rich or saturated. I am really getting old, I cannot take too much of anything anymore which is good in some ways that it restricts me from overeating which leads to a controlled diet =p

Attila & Pam's house and compound is huge!
The first time I went there I already thought that their house was very big but only today I saw the backyard and it could easily fit 3 more of their typed houses. However the reason why they could not build anything at the back portion of their yard is because it was a place where the septic system leads out from their house, into the ground to sort of like fertilize the land. This was the first time I had heard of such system which is quite impressive.

I was so full from the afternoon that I did not even have dinner but only a light supper. It was a really a nice day.

History Maker!
Mood:  energetic
Now Playing: Delirious - History Maker
Today was the first day of easter holidays.
So obviously I did not have classes. I woke up late and then played around with my forums and stuff.

Then later got ready in the evening to go to Planetshakers' City Church's easter event at the Arts Theatre in Melbourne City. It was a big deal because they had Delirious over!!!

Delirious was the first Christian contemporary band that I was exposed to and I enjoy their style of music and even performed History Maker in a few places. There was one phase that I could always relate my situation with Delirious' songs.

It was the first time I have ever been inside the Arts Theatre. It had the ability to house a very huge number of people and it was really really tall. Everytime I look up at the audiences on the first and second floor I would go "wow" and feel dizzy for them. The air was thick but I did not know what made it so, but it was so that the lights that were shining could reveal their beams through the thickness of the air.

They came tonight playing new songs like My Glorious and also old time favourites like Did You Feel The Mountains Tremble and History Maker. It was truly and experience for me. I will always appreciate this day. It was just like a real concert with very good video display backgrounds and choreography of the lights. Of course their music was the best.

Unwelcomed
Mood:  sad
Now Playing: Simple Plan - Addicted
First things first, let me remind you all that this is my blog, so I have the right to express myself however I see fit. If you do not like what I say, then just dont like it. Nobody is like forcing it up your ass or anything. Okay? Okay. Lets start.

Well it all happened when I was sleeping... and suddenly my computer picked up this message...

I woke up in the morning to get ready for class to find that. Now to any ordinary person it would be like... "What a way to start the day off!" but I made a resolution to be a better man regardless of situations. Well mostly of the anyway, I'm only human and I can only do my best.

So the whole day I've been thinking about that situation... I sent that image to Shawn and he read it and on the way walking to campus we talked about it, eventhough it might have seem not much I appreciated him for talking with me about, shows that somebody in this world actually cares.

Anyways enough about that... After my second and final class of the day ended, I went to a restaurant called Red Bean near the campus to eat lunch. One of my uni-mates said this shop was ran by Malaysians, and he said Ipoh to be exact. I don't really know about that but yeah, anything goes. Their portion was really huge. So I had to get it to go. The aunty there; probably the owner of the establishment filled the container with more food O_O and told me about tips when bringing home curry and stuff. Well probably because I go there quite often and they sort of know me.

So anyways... there was this one moment where it was so surreal like a movie or something, when I exited the shop, the sky was cloudy and sorta gloomy looking, while walking home, I folded up my jacket and carried it on my arm. John Mayer's No Such Thing started playing on my mobile phone and suddenly the sky became clear, bright and sunny.

For some reason listening to music whenever I am feeling down really blocks the pain out. It's like listening to the music won't allow my feelings to be hurt.

Tomorrow beings Easter holiday which lasts for 7 days and tomorrow Delirious is coming to perform at Planetshaker's Easter presentation. I feel demotivated to go but then I should because it would probably be (as Mathew said) a once in a lifetime opportunity. All this while I listen to Delirious' songs but never saw them perform life. I am still contemplating.

Wooo Blogging Again
Mood:  lazy
Now Playing: Hitomi - Kimi No Tonari
Its been well yeah around a month or more since I blogged. Well let me tell you the few reasons why.

Well when I got back to Melbourne on the 12th of February, Saturday night back to the apartment I share with Shawn, I unpacked my computer only to found that it was busted again. I wonder why those damned people in the air travel industry can't seem to look after my computers! This was the second time coming to Melbourne with a busted pc. Irwin was like at my place the whole day waiting for my arrival so we could do like network stuff when I got back. Sadly it was not meant to be.

I tried replacing parts which I thought was busted in my pc but one solution to a problem led to another problem which pissed me off so much cos I had to like bring the computer which was like 15kg or more to the computer shops few times. Yes you heard me right. I said computer shops. Plural. Which means that I actually traveled here and there changing computer shops because the previous ones were incompetent.

Imagine, I went computerless for a month. Its amazing how I managed to keep up with my classes without a computer. Thank God my friend was still freeloading in my house and I borrowed his laptop once in a while.

Eventually I bought a totally brand new computer after being sick and frustrated of troubleshooting the problems with the busted pc. Throughout this sickening process, I made friends with a pc shop owner. His name is Tim and he owns Renegade Computers; a small shop in Caulfield but very resourceful and he is very knowledgeable about computer parts. He hails from Hong Kong. Yes a Chinese! Much more effecient than indons and white people.

I've been so busy with classes and their assignments that I do not really have time to record down my daily adventures and thoughts especially since its my final year and I have like the major subject thingy which if I do not pass, I will not be able to graduate.

Time and time again I worry about how would I be able to bring my stuff back home to Malaysia.

2nd Day of Chinese New Year
Now Playing: The Pillows - One Life
Aah... earlier on I had one of the best family reunion dinner ever. This dinner was for my father's family side which happened to be one of the most memorable ones because this time most all of us were there except for those who are overseas.

Usually my dad does not like these type of gatherings as he is not speaking to one of his brother due to some disagreements years ago. Since our family was so big we were able to fill two tables while my immediate family were at one and my uncle was at another. It was at Jalan Kuchai Lama around there, opposite the FGA KL church. The food was alright.

After that we went to my aunty's place nearby, this aunty is my dad's eldest sister. My dad used to drop me off at her place when I was around 3 to 5 years old to look after me and would pick me up in the evenings. Upon arriving at that place, it brought back so much memories cos that place did not change one bit it looked exactly the same more than ten years ago! Imagine that. I will be forever grateful for my aunty taking care of me like I was her own. Someday I wish to repay her for it.

The reason why we went there was because, the car we rode in was my cousin's who lived nearby my place and his daughter wanted to play firecrackers with my aunty's grandchildren. In other words, my other cousin's kids.

When it was time to leave, my cousin's daughter was crying because she did not want to seperate from one of my aunties, my dad's youngest sister. It was so funny because I never had those kind of attachments to any of my relatives before.

I brought my digital camera but I never took any pictures. I guess to me it was too precious for any pictures to be taken. I find the experience should only be remembered and told without any images to preserve the wonderful effect it had on me.

Gong Xi Fa Chai
Mood:  on fire
Now Playing: Kylie Minogue - Chocolate
Yep its Chinese New Year today...
Went to KL to visit my grandmother and all my other relatives.

The usual, collect ang paus and ate some KFC and hung around. This time there are 4th generations around. My cousins' kids. Makes me realize how fast time flies.

Nothing much else happened but it was good to visit my paternal relatives. I actually prefer seeing my maternal relatives more as they are english educated and more courteous if you will while my dad's side is more... coarse chinese style. Plus I find it difficult to communicate with them cos I can't speak much teochew.

It is a really hot day today with no signs of rain anytime soon. I have two more days before I get sent back to conviction for the rest of the year, sentenced to suffering in university.

Photography Is Fun
Mood:  chillin'
Now Playing: Snoop Dogg ft Pharell - Drop It Like Its Hot
Just finished resting for like one and a half hours from being at 1 Utama since around 1pm till 12am.
It was fun and it was tiring.

I went for lunch with Enoch at 1pm at Chillys, I ordered the Ground Peppercorn Burger. I think I'm getting old. I had difficulty finishing the burger, usually I have to drink a few glasses of coke before being full but this time I only had water.

After lunch we walked around, Enoch got a dictionary for his wife's birthday which happens to be... today. Yes after 12am already which means it is a new day. I found it rather funny to give a person a dictionary for their birthday, because to me it is somewhat implying that the person does not know enough words and has a very small vocabulary but Enoch said that she wanted it, so I guess its alright.

After that we went to get Enoch's pair of pants which was purchased from one of the shops, altered. It took 30 minutes, and Enoch said he should have gave it before lunch, but his hunger got the better of his judgement. Oh well... While walking and waiting for the pants to be done, I had a suddeny stomach ache and was forced to use the public toilets there. Something which I would never do unless I was really really in dire need of one which was today. It was bearable. After that I kept thinking of getting a shower the moment I got home.

By the time I got home, it was already 4 something in the afternoon, and my friend Afzal was coming to pick me up at 5pm for a movie at 1 Utama (again).
Wanted to sleep but there was not enough time to do so. So I went downstairs and ate the chicken rice which my dad bought for me for lunch. Hated to see food go to waste like that.

Afzal soon arrived after I collected the clothes that were hung out to dry. We went to watch National Treasure. Nicholas Cage stars in it. It is about treasures accumulated through out the history and stored in a secret location and the people who hid it left alot of clues all over the world, mostly in the US >_> . So Nicholas Cage goes around looking for them clues. I didn't spoil any part of the show so leave me alone.

After that we walked around looking for batteries for my digital camera. Man, digital cameras consume alot of energy. I tried using brand new alkaline batteries for it twice, and 5 minutes or so after that, the low battery icon appears. So I bought some crap brand called GP, they said it lasted 3 times longer than normal batteries and were for digital cameras it was RM9.90 so I thought what the heck just get it. Who would've thought the batteries would last only for tonight. Well I guess probably because I took alot of videos too.

Well we walked around the new wing of 1 Utama taking pictures of Afzal in various poses in many locations. The reason why he wanted pictures was because the pictures I took of him while we were in college were a success on the internet that he had fangirls, so he wanted to give em more and guess who had to take them pictures. Yep. Me, but I enjoy photography... maybe that what I was cut out to do, not some crappy multimedia designing crud. Well I dunno... on our way back down to the car, we saw three guys doing something funny. One of them sat in the trolley and the other two guys pushed it really fast and it was going well for a few seconds till they crashed. It was so funny but Afzal, Justin and me had to try our best to pretend like we did not see anything. Hell even the security guards did not do anything to stop it, all they just did was watch and walk away.

On the way down to the car, I video filmed Afzal talking till we got to the car park and he himself tried the trolley thing with Justin pushing it, it was going well until they almost came crashing into the wall but Justin did a quick turn and crashed the trolley but Afzal managed to get out and almost hit the wall hard. That was the highlight of the night.

And now I'm back home.

Well I had alot of other eventful days that should have been blogged here, but I just got lazy but since I started again, I'm trying to get the momentum back. Hate to disappoint people who are actually interested to know what I do everyday. By the way, I got back to Malaysia last 14th December and I'm gonna leave for Australia on 12th February which will be a Saturday.

I'm still worried about my timetable clashes for the oncoming semester. I hope they do something about it because... well they SHOULD! I don't want a screwed up semester. They probably will not take responsibility for that mess either. Stupid university people.

Tomorrow I'm going out to 1 Utama AGAIN with Marcus and Ryan. Let's see what shall happen tomorrow, maybe I can suggest on going somewhere else...

Swinburne Sucks
Mood:  irritated
You might be wondering why I do not blog so often, well it was because I was so caught up in university work & RO sometimes... that I have no time to blog...

I know that I would be a hypocrite if I said that other people's blog was nothing more than their rantings of their experiences. Well I cannot help but do it now so... here goes...

I just had an email few days ago from the course administrator saying they don't offer the subjects I need for summer course. So... it means that summer I won't be doing anything and I only complete my entire course at the end of 2005. Which is what I did not want in the first place.

Friday I have to submit an assignment from the freakin Internet and WWW2 class which involves using mysql + php and apache. Well the mysql part just sucks. The one which the lecturer gave us in the modules to learn was creating and handling those databases in DOS mode... and if you made one mistake in a line, you would have to retype the whole bunch of lines. I thought of just not handing in this assignment. But in order to pass this subject if I wanted to do that, I would have to score really well for my final written exam, at least half for the exam to be on the safe side. This assignment was 20% while the written exam would be 40%. Hmm... I think I would need 3 quarters correct off the final exam. Shite.

Today was extremely rainy and windy in the mornings which caused some tree branches to fall down in some places which then caused traffic jams and chain reactions everywhere. It was so windy that I even had a hard time walking against the wind blowing.

I just realized that this was the final week for my semester before the major exams and projects hand up somewhere later on in a couple of weeks. Just have to get through this week and the rest shouldn't be difficult.

My sister has been insisting that I get a job during the summer because she does not want to support a bum. Well... the thing is, I do not have a work permit which takes a while to get one. This was because I did not have plans on working which was because I was told that I would be able to do summer courses. So if she does not want to support me then fine, I would find other ways of getting by through the summer.

urgh... wasted... again...
Now Playing: DJ Birdy - Bird Dance
Man... I don't know what happened today. I knew I set my alarm clock to ring today but it sort of like didn't and I woke up in time to see the time where my class started. I quickly woke Shawn up, got ready and left. While getting ready, I looked out the window to find that it was raining. We walked in the drizzle and got to class only to find it being so quiet. Apparently there wasn't any lesson going on. So in actual fact, I went there just to get attendance >_>

So after that I went back home. On the way home Shawn and I decided to buy some umbrellas incase we needed to walk in rain again. When we bought them the raining stop. I mean... talk about perfect timing. I felt so sleepy so I slept and now I just woke up and the raining has gotten heavier and I'm feeling more like hibernating.

Well enough about today, nothing really interesting going on. Let's talk about yesterday =P

I was online and not playing RO cos had some work to do and suddenly she came online =D
so I chatted with her and the next thing you know it, she promised me a day out with her when I get back. I feel so happy about it yet I don't even know why I should for the reason being that I am way over here and by the time I go back she might have already left or forgotten about it. Either way it was a nice conversation with her. Everytime I chat with her I feel rejuvenated and things suddenly does not seem so bad.

Oh What A Day
Mood:  chillin'
After how many months of waiting for his promise to happen, my friend finally managed to meet up with me. He had been saying he wanted to meet up with me even before we left for Australia. Today was the day.

We met at Flinders Street station and walked to Swanston Street to catch a tram to Fitzroy, however, my friend took me on the wrong tram -_- .
On the way back to the stop for the right tram, a guy came on the tram with his dog, and got told to get off the tram with his dog as there are no pets allowed on the tram, and the guy made a big fuss before leaving with his dog.

He wanted to take me shopping at factory outlets. I thought it was a good idea because they sell "outdated" stuff cheaper. To me oudated or latest trend doesn't mean jack. As long as it looks good on me I'm fine. I was quite pleased with my purchase. I bought a pair of nike shoes as I needed an extra pair cos the one that I brought back home looked like it was gonna break into halves or something due to maximum usage. I also bought 2 pairs of pants which I need as I did not bring enough clothes here and also a t-shirt with the word 'player' on it. I thought it was funny. After that we went into a quicksilver shop and saw a pair of shoes that were going for 15 dollars. It was simply too good to miss so I grabbed a pair, my friend wanted one too but they did not have it in his size, everything else was too big for him. See? One thing good about me going to western countries, they have my size.

Shopping with my friend was quite... interesting I should say, he shopped like a girl, going from store to store to check on all the stuff, trying them out but not really buying most of the things he tried. However I respect his calculativeness for it also helps save money and make the wisest choice in buying the items.

On the way back to the city there was this group of guys with one of them looking like he was on drugs or something, came on the tram, turned to face the exit and just vomitted out like that saying that he had too much to drink. Later on his friend gave him a plastic bag to vomit in and he threw out the used plastic bag out the door as well -_-. You don't see that happening in Malaysia now do you?

We arrived back in the city. My friend wanted to grab those 1 dollar pizzas for lunch. They didn't look worth to me as the pizza dough was thick and had very little toppings on it, but I guess you get what you pay for. I went to Hungry Jacks after he got his pizza. After eating, we sat there for a while talking about stuff when suddenly this guy grabbed my ribs while walking past by and he was like laughing saying that I was ticklish. Well it was more like 'WTF! why did you grabbed me' kind of reaction. Later on he came back the other way and did the same thing and was laughing. I thought he was retarded or something, I was quite pissed off and wanted to beat the shit out of him with a chair then and there but then I'd thought better not to trouble myself and waste time and just let it go.

When I left I saw him got arrested by police outside the store. Police are real efficient here and thats good. I bought back for Shawn a burger set from Hungry Jacks and put it in one of my shopping bags as I had too many things to carry.

Later on at night when I was going through my stuff I realized that the coke from that spilled onto all of my clothes, pants and shirts. So I quickly put them into the washing machine and then into the dryer. Much to my disappointment, my Player shirt shrank. I was really upset over this because I haven't even wore it and it already got screwed up. I hate dryers. From now on I'm just gonna put trousers into the dryers. I still could wear the t-shirt though it became like those undershirt kind of thing, body hugging and stuff, I wouldn't wear it just like that as it looks gay. Well maybe when I sleep or something.

Oh by the way, my friend who went with me shopping, did not want me to write his name in my blog. Probably becaue he is too embarassed with his shopping behaviour. Oh well... till next time.

This is the last days of my 1 week holiday and I still have not been able to think of any ideas for my assignments. As my friend said, holidays were meant for people to have breaks but my uni gave us holidays to do more work -___- what a rip.
