Mt. June/Sawtooth Rock/Hardesty Mountain:Round Two

After a crushing initial defeat last week there was no option but to try again to conquer the entire loop. We knocked out the nine and a half mile loop in no time. I would rate it a moderate to low difficulty as there are some elevation gains and drops but only a 1000 feet or so. Mainly it skirts a ridge line leading down from Mt. June to Sawtooth to Hardesty (depending on which trail head is accessed).

View from Hardesty Mountain

The view or what is left of it. The trees have take over the grand vista that once was Hardesty. They really need to cut those down.

The Summit of June

Not the best picture, but you can clearly see the snow covered cascades in the distance, The summit of Mt. June is around 4700 ft up and on a clear day offers one heck of a view.

More good views to be had

Looking down on Sawtooth Rock

Direct from the tooth

Sawtooth Rock offers a fun climb up and great views of the surrounding rock formations set in what could be mistaken as the Scottish Highlands, and distant hills, and the ever oppresive Bohemia Mountain
