The Chicago Jazz Intermediate team has had its best year ever! They won the Midwestern Championships with their "sword music" (Antonin Dvorak's Symphonie No. 9 - Allegro con fuoco). The team is coached by Leanne Walsh, Kathy Dussel, and Dorothy Divito. The team's dramatic program featured a "sword" wheel, a bauer line, a shoot-the-duck circle, and an intense ending where the skaters "kill" each other. The Chicago Jazz Intermediate team recently performed at the Boot Skatin' Benefit in Rockford, Illinois with Tonia Kwiatkowski, all proceeds went to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. The team has performances planned at the Oakton Spring Ice Show and the Rolling Meadows Spring Ice Show before they wrap up their golden season.
