The Cal-Neva Lodge and Dean Martin
||| HOME ||| THE CAL-NEVA LODGE
July 13th, 1960 marked the day that it was announced to the newspapers that Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Hank Sincola and Skinny D'Amato had applied for permission from the state of Nevada to take over the Cal-Neva Lodge in Lake Tahoe.

Dean wasn't one to mingle exclusively with mob bosses, and wasn't at ease with his share of the lodge - mainly because RFK was investigating Sam Giancana,the FBI were hanging around like flies and Dean sensed the danger surrounding his association with the Cal-Neva.

Convinced that Sam Giancana's secret percentage in the Cal-Neva would be exposed and the lodge would turn out to be more trouble than it was worth, Dean pulled out of the deal early in the peace.
