Judy was introduced to Sam, when JFK was in the midst of his presidential campaign. He became a close friend and sponsor of JFK. Judy claims that she didn’t know how exactly, Sam had helped sponsor JFK and his campaign. However, Judy is eager to reveal her association with Sam and JFK writing indepth in her autobiography about her job as messenger between the two, to arrange the assassination of Fidel Castro.

When JFK dumped her due to Hoover’s warnings and the potential threat of his mob connections become front page news, she took comfort in the arms of Sam only to have him constantly remind her that if it wasn’t for his support, that JFK would never have made office.

The romance between the two was short lived.
