Types Of Organisations

In all types of organisations, a group of people work together to make something or provide a service.

The range includes:

  • Multinational commercial companies
  • Utilities (transport, water, electricity and gas)
  • Public service organisations (hospitals, schools, colleges)
  • Shops
  • Banks
  • A range of enterprises employing small numbers of people

You will need to learn:

  • Who organisations communicate with
  • What information they exchange
  • How ICT is used to support such communication

Different organisations exchange different types of information about different things.

You will need to learn about the types of information that may be exchanged between or about the following:
