Ezekiel 47)
Afterward he brought me again to the entrance of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters were coming (cp. Joel 3:18; and see Isa. 12:3; 44:3. Zech. 14:8. Rev. 22:1) down from beneath (referring to the perennial source which has supplied the fountain of Gihon) from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.
Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the outer gate by the way that looks eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.
And when the man that had a measuring line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits (= approx. 1500 feet), and he brought me through the waters; waters [reaching] to the ankles.
Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.
Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.
And he said to me, "Son of man, have you seen this?" Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.
Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.
Then said he to me, "These waters issue out toward the east country (i.e. the circular border-land. Used of the Jordan in Josh. 22:11), and go down into the plain, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea (the so-called Salt, or Dead Sea), the waters shall be healed.
And it shall come to pass, that every soul that lives, which swarms, wheresoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come three: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live where the river comes.
And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi (now the well-known spring, Ain Jidy, on the west shore. The original name was Hazazon-tamar [2 Chon. 20:2]) even to Eneglaim (this is probably 'Ain Hajla, the ancient Beth Hogla); they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea (the Mediterranean), exceeding many.
But the swamps thereof and the marshes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.
And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof fail: it shall bring forth ripe fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat (give life), and the leaf thereof for healing." (The Divine provision for preserving and restoring health in that future day, when this prophecy shall literally be fulfilled. Cp. Rev. 22:2)

G1 G 13,14. Distribution and Boundaries. H h 15-17. North border. i 18. East border. H h 19. South border. i 20. West border. G 21-23. Distribution and Boundaries.
Thus says the Lord GOD; "This shall be the border, whereby you shall inherit the land according to the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall inherit two portions. (See Gen. 48:5-22.)
And you shall inherit it, one as well as another: concerning the which I lifted up My hand to give it to your fathers (see Gen. 12:7; 17:8; 26:3; 28:13; 50:24): and this land shall fall to you for inheritance.
And this shall be the border of the land toward the north side, from the great sea, the way of Hethlon, as men go to Zedad;
Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath; Hazarhatticon, which is by the border (or boundary) of Hauran.
And the border from the sea shall be Hazarenan, the border of Damascus, and the north northward, and the border of Hamath. And this is the north side.
And the east side you shall measure from Hauran, and from Damascus, and from Gilead, and from the land of Israel by Jordan, from the border to the east sea. And this is the east side.
And the south side southward, from Tamar even to the waters of strife in Kadesh (see Num. 20:1-13), the torrent to the great sea. And this is the south side southward.
The west side also shall be the great sea from the border, till a man come over against Hamath. This is the west side.
So shall you divide this land to you according to the tribes of Israel.
And it shall come to pass, that you shall divide it by lot for an inheritance to you, and to the foreign sojourners that sojourn among you, which shall beget sons among you: and they shall be unto you as born in the country among the sons of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.
And it shall come to pass, that in what tribe the foreigner sojourns, there shall you give him his inheritance, says the Lord GOD."
