In Loving Memory of My Husband
Blue Knights
Some wear shields of gold,
Others a silver star
With just a passing glance,
One knows who they are.
They ride with pride
These men in blue
Clocked in coats of honor
God's chosen few,
Though men of few words
One knows what is on their mind,
Showing that crime does not pay,
They are here to serve and protect
These men who ride the blue line.
With hands of iron
Unbending it's true,
When danger crosses the path
Of these knights in blue
They ride a lonely beat.
Always alert on the street,
Showing that crime does not pay,
They seek the criminal, and lock him away.
Though some have fallen,
Losing their life's blood in the fight,
The Blue Knights carry on,
With courage known only to the right.
They ride to serve and protect
These knights in blue,
On chariots of forged iron,
True to the red, white and blue.
