Josiah and I were lucky enough to happen upon a little arrangement with one of Barnum's more disgruntled menagerie keepers. It seems the care of a particular "Monstrous Bird" was a little more than this poor chap cared to deal with. So we were kind enough to take it off his hands. A little borrowed stationary was all we needed for a legal bill of sale.

Do not tell Ericson or Hasenfurter ... we wouldn't want them to think they weren't our primary source of oddities.



Strangely, we started with it's original small cage and quickly had to purchase a slightly larger one. Josiah mentioned we should move it into a giant display cage in a dimmer tent to create a more anxious setting for the rube... customers. I concurred. Odd though, the beast seems more hostile than frightened of Cat.
