"Lass!" someone finally shouted at me. "Hide! It's a dragon!"
"A dragon?" I watched in wonder as the shadow grew larger. The dragon was descending. I felt a mind enter into my mind. He now knew who I was and what I desired. Why I stayed in the open, even I don't understand why I did that. All I knew was I was out in view watching a two hundred foot dragon float lazily down to me.
The ocean blue-green scales glittered in the sunlight as the cool emerald eyes looked down at me. The dragon cocked his head to the side slightly.
(Greetings, DragonSeer,) a male voice whispered in my mind. The dragon gazed down at me with---affection? (I have come to take you back to us. You belong with us, not the humans. You must coem with me. The Empress comandes it.)
"The Empress? Why does she want me?"
