"...So, congratulations, Howie and Misty Dorough! I feel lucky to know both of you, and wish you all the happiness that I wish for myself and Laura, and our child due to make his or her appearance any day now," Kevin said patting Laura's stomach, with her smiling at his side.
"Yes, I know Misty is still upset with us because we eloped and she missed out on being my maid of honor," Laura said giggling, remembering how shortly after Howie and Misty's engagement, Kevin and she decided to tie the knot as well. "But, I'm glad that she chose me as hers. There's no place else I'd rather be then here for her, after all that she's done for me. Love ya, girl! Cheers!" The room filled with champagne glasses clinking together.
"OK, now that that's out of the way, let's get this party goin'!" AJ said, as everyone followed into the reception hall. The DJ was already playing tunes as everyone danced, visited with each other, and gave their best wishes to the bride and groom.
Everyone was having so much fun, that before they knew it, the time had come for the bride and groom to have their first dance. "Everyone, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Dorough!" the DJ said, as he began playing a slow song and Misty and Howie began dancing. After one song, everyone else coupled up and danced with them.
Laura stood up in front of her new husband. "Mr. Richardson, would you care to dance?" she asked, extending her hand. Kevin took her hand. "Are you sure you're feeling up to dancing? I don't want you to hurt yourself."
"I'm fine, Kevin. I just want to be in your arms, do I need a better excuse then that??" Laura said, smiling. With that Kevin smiled at his wife and took her in his arms. As they swayed to the music, Laura knew that her life was now just beginning, and it was only going to get better. She sighed as Kevin held her close. How she never tired of feeling his arms around her. He couldn't think of a better feeling himself. Suddenly Laura stopped dancing and held her stomach.
"Oh my God..."
"What? What is it? You OK??" Kevin said, anxiously.
"I'm fine, but I think I'm in labor....
"Are you sure??"
"Well, I think that's what it means when your water breaks, Kevin," Laura joked, as Kevin smiled and shook his head.
"Joking even at a time like this, huh?" Kevin laughed. "Well, I'm gonna get Jim and Kate and let them know we're going to the hospital. Here, sit right here, I'll be back in a flash, I promise."
"Oh I know you will, Kevin. I have total faith in you."
"Blind faith?" Kevin smiled and winked at Laura.
"What other kind of faith is there?" she said, winking back....
