Laura had come across a blue silk negligee that Kevin had bought for her quite a while ago, but she had never worn it. She was going to, the night of her birthday, she remembered, but because of the horrible events of that night, she never got to "model" it for him. A mischievous grin came over Laura's face as she slipped the negligee on and decided to give Kevin her own "wake-up call."
Laura emerged from the bathroom, and while passing the room door, made sure it was shut tight and pulled the privacy curtain. Walking up to the bed she saw Kevin still sleeping peacefully. Laura sighed as she looked at him. He's so amazing, she thought, so beautiful, so perfect. Laura leaned down a bit to kiss him lightly on his forehead, wanting him to open his eyes. Kevin still lay motionless as she kissed down the side of his face and made her way to his lips. Kevin soon responded to her tender kisses and began kissing her back, leaning up on an elbow and wrapping his other arm around Laura's neck. Kevin pulled away for a second, looking deep into Laura's blue eyes. He was about to speak, but Laura silenced him by placing her lips on his once again. Kevin sat up, still kissing Laura. What a way to wake up, he thought, as his arousal was beginning to become hard to hide. He broke their kisses to look at her as she stood before him, wearing the gift he had given her a couple months ago. Kevin's eyes looked her up and down, looks that were filled with love, and a hint of lust. Kevin spoke low and softly. "Oohhhh, Laura, you look so--so--" Laura once again silenced him by kissing him. She then winked at him, and told him to be quiet by putting her finger to her lips, as she took a few steps back. A sexy smile came over her face as she turned her back to him. Kevin sat there watching her, taking in her every move, wondering what she was going to do next. Laura started to undo the silky buttons that went down from her cleavage down past her stomach. Every few seconds she'd turn her head to glance at Kevin out of the corner of her eye. Satisfied her display was "entertaining" him, she turned back and slowly let each of the skinny shoulder straps down and with a little shake of her hips, the negligee fell to the floor. Laura slowly turned around, and walked back over by Kevin, taking his hands and pulling him up so he was standing in front of her.
Laura stood on her tip-toes and started kissing Kevin's neck and down his chest, holding his hands down, not letting him touch her. Does she realize what this is doing to me? he thought, as his skin tingled and burned under her kisses. She released his hands, and he took her face in his hands, and kissed her lips, firm but slowly. Her lips parted as his tongue searched out hers. Laura's hands made their way down his broad chest and down to his boxers, tugging them down and letting them fall to the floor. Still kissing Laura, caressing her body everywhere his hands could reach, Kevin now leaned her back onto the bed, holding her gently in his arms. She needs to wake me up like this more often, he thought, as their bodies tangled in the dance...
It was now past noon. Howie and Lisa had arrived, along with the rest of the guys. They ordered pizza and were waiting for it to arrive. Lisa was amused by the playful glances exchanged between her sister and Kevin. She leaned over and whispered to Howie. "Think they, ummmmm, celebrated their engagement already?" she asked, making Howie blush. "I'm sure they did, Lisa, I'm sure they did," he replied, winking at her as he took her hand. Just then there was a knock on the door. Someone entered the room that Laura and Lisa hadn't seen in so long, and hadn't expected to see.
"Patti!" Laura said with a big smile, happy to see her long-lost friend. "Laura... Lisa!" she said, exchanging smiles. A young woman followed behind her, seeming as though she felt out of place. That didn't last long, though, as Patti introduced her friend.
"You guys, this is Whitney. Whitney, that's Laura, and her sister Lisa over there," Patti said, still so happy to see that her friend was doing well. She had tried on a whim to reach Laura at her parent's place when she couldn't get through on her old phone number. Laura's parents had told her about her new job, and Kevin, and then about the sad events of her accident. Patti had some vacation time due to her, so she took it, and decided to bring her friend with her.
"Well I'm glad you're here... it's been so long--too long!" Laura said hugging Patti. She then turned to Whitney. "It's also good to meet you too, Whitney. Any friend of Patti's is a friend of mine," she said. Whitney smiled. "Thanks, that's real nice of you. I'm glad you're feeling better. Oh, and by the way, you can call me Whit." Just as she said that, AJ and Nick walked in the room. They noticed there were a couple new faces in the room so they decided to walk over and introduce themselves.
"Hello, ladies," AJ said to Patti and Whit, mainly keeping eye contact with Whit. "Welcome to the most exciting hospital room that you'll ever enter!" he said. Patti and Whitney smiled, and Whitney felt herself get warm under AJ's gaze. AJ too felt entranced by Whitney, but snapped out of it when Nick tapped him on the shoulder. "Ummmm, ya, that's Nick," he said quickly, not breaking his eye contact with Whitney as he walked closer to her so he was soon standing next to her. Nick just rolled his eyes and laughed. Oh no, he's in "the zone" he thought to himself, as Patti caught his eye.
"Patti, is it?" Nick asked, taking her hand gently to shake it. He was one to talk about AJ; he found himself under the spell of Patti too. "Yeah, that's right," she replied nervously. She and Whitney were happy when they heard that Laura and Kevin were together, because they were hoping to "run" into AJ and Nick as well. Patti just smiled as Nick looked at her. He smiled a sexy smirk back at her. By this point Patti and Whitney were very glad they had made the trip to Wisconsin, very glad, and knew that more than a visit with some old friends was in store for them!
Later that afternoon, while everyone was in Laura's room enjoying each other's company, Laura was being examined by her doctor. "Well, looks like you can go, Laura. You can even go back to work, just as long as you take it slow and allow yourself some extra time to finish your tasks, just don't push it. You'll have to continue your therapy exercises, but that you'll be able to do on your own with Kevin's, or anyone's, assistance. I'll talk to him before you leave and let him know exacty what you need to do, and how he needs to help you. I do want you to come back and see me, if possible, in 4 weeks." Laura nodded. "Yes, that's fine. Whatever you want, as long as I can leave," she said enthusiastically. This is great! she thought. Everyone's going to be so excited that not only am I well enough to leave, but that I can work again too! The doctor bid her adieu, and she left to sign herself out. When she signed all her paperwork, Laura returned to her room to pack up.
"Well, this definitely calls for a celebration," Brian said, as he hugged his fiancé, Leighanne. Leighanne had arrived when Laura was in seeing the doctor. "Hey girl," she said, hugging Laura. "I hear you gave everyone a pretty good scare. Don't do it again!" Leighanne added with a smile. Laura smiled sarcastically. "I'll try not to," she laughed. Kevin came up in back of Laura wrapping his arms around her. "Don't worry, she's never leaving my side," he said, grabbing Laura's left hand, waving the engagement ring in front of Leighanne's face. "Damn, Kevin, you've got good taste," she said, looking closer at the ring. "It's almost as nice as the one Brian got for me!" she added. Everyone laughed--yes, they all definitely had much to celebrate.
Everyone waited as Laura and Kevin got their things together. Patti and Nick and Whitney and AJ were getting cozy together, everyone noticed it. They then all followed each other back to the hotel, and Laura and Kevin checked in again. They were glad to get the same suite back that they had before. Patti and Whitney also checked in, getting a room on the same floor as everyone else. They had all agreed to meet in the lobby in an hour to decide where they were going to have dinner, and then after dinner they were all going to go to a club.
An hour later, they were all gathered in the lobby of the hotel. Everyone agreed on Applebees Restaurant, then to the club down the street from the hotel. Pair by pair, they exited the hotel, ready to celebrate the night away...
