~Jimmy~

When I first saw him he was in a cage,
no one wanted this skinny little guy.
4 months old lying in a cage when they
picked him up you could see his ribs,
how could they treat him like that?
The Girl brought him out to me and when
I held him he held me tight, this poor little
baby....I decided right then he was coming
home with me.

It took me awhile to get him out from under
the chairs he was scared and had never been
held..but soon he was my baby. He was everywhere
I was.....he wanted held, it was so cute when
he would try to beat me to the chair so he
could be held. When I took him for his checkup
the Vet told me he had feline leukemia, so from
that point on I made sure he got all the love he
could stand.

He was a fraile little guy always sick but always
so very loving..he broke his leg once when he
jumped off of a bunk bed. Never did he complain
just lots of love and some fancy feast was all he
ask for...he lived 9 glorious years and I thank God
I was blessed by the presence of my sweet little
Jimmy..

I had to put him down the other day
I went with him to make sure he wasn't
scared. I made sure the last thing he heard
was my voice telling him how much I loved him
and when he went to sleep he was purring.
All our animals ask for is love.
So why do so many abuse them?
have you hugged your pet today?
