Go
to your various local government offices;
mayor, local departments, etc., and ask to see their Public
Records.
Contracts,
paid-out invoices, grants, and of course,
a listing of all of
your local officials along with their duties and
responsibilities,
along with any other local projects or purchase records.
Ask
for their Oath's of office.
Every
public official MUST have one on file in the Auditor's office !
Any official being
paid without one on file is being paid illegally !!!
Look
at HUD Block Grant
Development funds.
There
are hundreds of thousands of dollars available to average
homeowners.
These are GRANTS ! You don't pay them back. Low interest loans
available, too. Go look.
( Or would you rather live with that leaky roof and old furnace?
)
Don't
let your officials come up with thousands and thousands of "
surplus " or " excess " funds.
If they're doing what they should be doing, dozens of home should be
being rehabilitated.
There shouldn't be any " surplus "
or " excess " funds !!!
And NOT for just the
same few people or the same contractor for every job,
especially if
they're related to any of the city officials; i.e., building
inspectors, etc..
Sick of doing without while a few get it all? You can put a stop to it.
Look through those Public Records. See how your money is being spent.
Do
the spending amounts seem reasonable ?
Are the same projects being done over and over again ?
How many names do you see that you've seen related to each other
in other ways ?
How many times do you see those same names in the Records ?
Keep
an eye on your newspaper for information about how
your local officials are planning on spending your money.
Your
local officials are supposed
to take an oath to support
all of the laws and
constitutions of our country and state,
not to ingnore them
for their friends, family, and personal interests to prosper,
at
the taxpayer's (YOUR) expense !
( By
the way, there must be a
copy of this oath on file with your Auditor as well !
If not . . .well, then they're being paid illegally
!)
