Once again the blind man pauses to allow Rosenkreutz to reflect on this. Then he begins speaking of two great opposing powers to the Christ. The powers that wish to wrest the souls of humanity from ever taking up the Light of the Christ. They are Lucifer and Satan. The blind man says that he understands the misconceptions of believing that both are one and the same being but the distinction between these two beings must be made. Lucifer is the god of egoism and Satan is the god of materialism.

      He continues by saying that first he wishes to speak of Lucifer who led humanity into the Great Fall. Before humanity became physical earth-bound beings they were given a form by the Elohim where they existed in the higher worlds. It was a spiritual body that lived above the earth and was watched over by another hierarchy called the Archai. Lucifer and his fallen angels began to fill the souls of humanity with their impulses. Gradually through time this changed the structure of the spiritual form of humanity and because of this human souls eventually descended to earth in ever denser forms and bodies. The human being then became an earth-bound being with a body consisting of earth matter. Before this time in the course of human evolution these principles (luciferic impulses) never existed in humanity. Over time this form became ever more dense and continually changed its shape to evolve to what it is today.

     With the Fall of humanity, the earth itself also became more dense with physical matter. All things had then fallen into the physical from out of the spiritual, but with the regeneration of humanity’s souls with the Christ Impulse all things will be resurrected back to the spiritual again. It is imperative to understand that the earth and humanity will only accomplish their mission and achieve their goal when humanity comes to understand this; all things that are of the earth are a reflection of the evolvement of the human soul. The earth is to eventually evolve into its next incarnation, the New Jerusalem which in Christian esotericism would be the fifth Great Day of Manifestation called the Jupiter Period. This can come about only by changing the moral impulses of the human soul. The souls of human beings must strive for the Christ and receive Him. The Christ Impulse is a real and living impulse that is now upon and within the earth. To receive It is to light up one’s soul with the Light of the Christ. To express It in one’s thoughts, feelings and deeds is to raise all that is around you to the New Jerusalem in time to come.

     For all that you see is now a reflection of the souls of humanity. When the human soul is totally filled with the Christ Impulse then will the earth reflect the Christ in the souls of humanity. This cosmic body will then over great eons of time become the New Jerusalem; the resurrected body of the Christ, as the present earth is now the physical body of the Christ. The Christ is the earth’s EGO-I AM as He was in the past the sun’s EGO-I AM.
