Satan who is in a human form now stands before Rosenkreutz. His body is tall, narrow and very rigid. He is wearing a black vestment. His face has the countenance of hatred, vengeance and deceit. It is narrow with a long protruding jaw and his tongue is like that of a serpent. His hands are also long and narrow. His skin is pale gray. His whole countenance has a deathly, sclerotic appearance.
As he looks upon Rosenkreutz, Satan has his left hand extended upward and to the left of his head, while his right hand is extended downward to his right and placed slightly forward from himself. He holds his right hand in a specific manner: the middle and ring fingers are turned inward toward the palm of the hand while the small and index fingers and the thumb are extended outwards and the thumb bends at the middle joint.
Looking back at Satan, Rosenkreutz is fully aware of who he is. He acknowledges him by uttering in an almost inaudible voice the name, “Satan.” Satan then confirms that Rosenkreutz is correct and that he is Satan by saying, “ I am the one called Satan. I am the Beast. I am the Dragon of the great abyss.” Then there is a chilling pause of silence as both Satan and Rosenkreutz look glaringly at one another. Rosenkreutz breaks the silence and asks Satan why has he appeared to him. Before he can finish his question, Satan bellows in a harsh, thunderous, booming voice saying, “Silence . . . I know your questions before you speak them, for it is in humanity’s thoughts, it is in their thinking that I have my influence. It is in their judgments that I deceive them into error. It is I who obscures humanity’s vision, cognition and aspirations for the higher worlds.”
Satan then pauses and continues to coldly glare at Rosenkreutz. When he breaths, the room becomes filled with an icy chill. “I’ve come because I know of your mission,” he says in a very deep and sinister voice. “I know of your alliance with Michael the archangel. I’ve come as an announcement; a declaration of the battle that I will engage against both you and humanity as my power will rise in greater strength with the rise of humanity’s growing and maturing intellect. For it is through humanity’s intellect that allows me to turn them away from Michael and the Christ. It is my power working through humanity’s intellect that will cause many to fail to recognize the Christ at the dawn of the Age of Michael.
It is humanity’s intellect that allows me to have influence within their souls. With the passage of time, humanity’s growing intellect will be turned to my favor. I will fill it with the desire for and understanding of the physical world of the senses only. Slowly will humanity turn away from the Etheric Christ. In times to come, humanity will know and desire the physical world only. The actual perceptions of the higher worlds, I will obscure from them. These perceptions will be looked upon as fantasy and illusion.”
