The Divine Sophia then leaves Rosenkreutz to look upon this light that fills the center of the village. As he stands at a distance from the village, he then shouts the name, “Lucifer.” His voice has been given a power to which he is heard above all else. Most of the villagers stop their shouts and cries of ecstasy and turn to look toward the direction of Rosenkreutz. He stands at a significant distance from them and the light. He then raises and opens his arms.
After a long pause he again shouts and says, “Lucifer . . . reveal yourself.” Many of the villagers are shocked by this and they begin to shout at and curse Rosenkreutz. He continues by saying, “Show yourself as the false light that you are; you as the one who is the originator of sins. You who deceives the souls of humanity. You who spreads death in the world. In the Name of the Christ, I command you to declare yourself that they may see through your lies. Let them see your evil scheming that would mislead them away from the Christ Who is the true Light. In the Name of the Christ, I call upon the forces of Michael to drive you from this place and defeat your forces that would afflict and deceive those that you would hold bondage. Depart from us Lucifer, and may the powers of Michael descend upon this place and crush your forces.”
The sky now grows even darker and the gray clouds become thicker and more ominous. The light in the center of the village begins to rise to the clouds as the winds rage violently. Lightning, thunder and rain soon begin. Lucifer’s sphere of light has now ascended among the clouds. There it transfigures into the image of Lucifer. As the elements increase in intensity, Lucifer summons his demons as he spreads his wings far across the sky. Again from out of his wings, the demons descend in spiraling circles upon the village as they begin to torment the villagers.
There is much screaming, crying and running by the villagers in order to try to escape the attack of Lucifer’s demons. They appear as demonic apparitions that can be seen by the villagers. They pass over, around and through the villagers. The torments of the villagers are deep and emotionally painful. Above it all is Lucifer, as the dark clouds act as a background for his image while the rain and wind and the lightning and thunder persist.
In the sky, adjacent to Lucifer, an opening begins to appear. In this opening, bright rays of sunlight also begin streaming down upon the village. Suddenly, angels begin to pass through this opening. They fill the sky with the most beautiful sunlight to which the demons can not withstand. The demons begin to lose their powers and fall to the earth helplessly. They are vanquished and banished from this village and they soon fade from sight.
The appearance of Michael now is visible in the sky as the sky is completely clear and bright and the image of Lucifer slowly dissolves into nothing. The image of Michael also gradually dissolves and in its place is the sun with its golden rays of light. The angels now ascend toward the sun until they too are no longer visible.
All that was told here of Rosenkreutz’s 14th. century incarnation transpired in a span of one year. Many years have now passed. It is the last day of Rosenkreutz’s life. The sounds of summer fill the air. While he is standing and holding a red rose, he looks down at it in his hands and holds it close to himself in an almost prayerful manner.
