Rosenkreutz, now on foot, begins his travels along a country road through meadows and foothills. It is very dark with violent winds, a torrential rain, streaking lightning and deafening claps of thunder. As he continues to travel he lifts his rain drenched face towards the sky. Within the sky the lightning is metamorphosing into streaks of lights of various colors. The thunder continues to grow heavier in volume. The streaking lights soon begin to cluster and centralize against the sky. Slowly the lights transform into the figure of Lucifer (“the bringer of light” as he is often called. However, it is a light of false spiritual illumination and development).
[ To simply describe him, Lucifer is made to appear beautiful and resplendent with an abundance of light forces around him. However, he is also demonic in appearance. In many respects, Lucifer, throughout history has given his forces to humanity that has led past and current civilizations to art, music, poetry dance and also religion. Though his gifts have been of benefit to humanity, Luciferic impulses can also impassion humanity with misguided passion, anger, hatred, mistrust, vengeance, deceit and egoism. These impulses are now to be overcome with the Impulse of the Christ; the true Light of the World. His Light will permeate all of humanity’s thoughts, feelings and deeds in every aspect of human endeavor and activity.]
While it is still dark, it is also continuing to rain. The thunder and lightning are overwhelming. Lucifer then identifies himself to Rosenkreutz as he speaks from the skies with a voice that has the sound of powerful thunder. In appearance, Lucifer is in a form that only projects from the chest up to the shoulders and head. His whole being is not clearly defined as he is a supra-sensible apparition whose manifestation in the skies fades in and out of sight.
Lucifer now divulges to Rosenkreutz saying that, “The plague that is ravaging Europe is his means of vengeance against humanity for believing and turning to the Sun Being (meaning the Christ).” Rosenkreutz responds by saying, “Humanity will become more Christ-like over many lifetimes filling their souls with the Light and Life of the Christ. As they do, Lucifer, you will eventually be defeated and overcome.” Then in an almost prayerful manner, he declares to Lucifer; “The Christ is truly the Son of God. He is the Resurrection and the Life. He is the Light of the World and that as we live in Him, He then will live in us and we will have everlasting life and have it abundantly.” He then finishes by saying to Lucifer, “Lucifer; your way is the way to spiritual death.”
Lucifer now summons his demons as he is extremely angered by Rosenkreutz. Streaking down through the sky from out of the wings of Lucifer are his demons. They descend in swirling, downward spirals toward Rosenkreutz. They are, in appearance, supra-sensible forms of demonic apparitions, as is Lucifer. They are, however, in full human-like form with arms and legs along with bat-like wings. They swirl around, through, over and under Rosenkreutz. This begins to cause him great pain. It is not physical pain but rather extreme emotional pain. It is pain that rises from deep within the soul. Lucifer, in a thundering voice, tells Rosenkreutz, “The pain that you feel is all the qualities that lie deep within your soul that have yet to be regenerated by the complete ingression of the Impulse of the Christ. They are my impulses within your soul that you have yet to completely surrender to the Christ. They are impulses from me that are carried over from many lifetimes.”
