Diving is a diverse activity. It can be a recreation or a job. It can be extremely cold, comfortably warm or perfectly dry. Visibility ranges from zero to as far as your eyes can handle. There are commercial divers who are paid to do just about anything that needs to be done underwater, from repairing bridge footings, to getting water samples at different depths. There are recreational divers who just want to explore underwater without having to surface for air. The many varieties of diver and the climate in which they do their thing gives us many choices in equipment, location, associations and corporations.
